Guest guest
Namaste Ec ( by the way are you a man or woman - would like to know for the purpose of understanding how you may see things - and yes women and men do perceive things in different ways which is why there are always a lot of marital conflicts ?) everyone understands and perceives the Infinite according to our own limited perceptions.hence to define The Infinite using the finite will always beincomplete.Agree 100%your words are a excellent example as out of the thousands of Names andcountless forms of Siva you picked out 2 to exemplify your perception of Him.No, this is incorrect, I asked the question as to why he was called by the names Unmatta (ferocious) and Krodha (anger) if according to most everyone he is all Love. ? Further I am aware of all 1008 Names of Shiva both from Linga and Shiva Puranas. to me it's not Siva but the human ego acting out of the ignorance of separationthat is the culprit in causing the killing and atrocities we see happening to Oneanother. This may be so, but Siva is present in everyone or so the claim is - Siva is pure consciousness, therefore he is fully aware of what is going on. Further one of the grounding rules of Yoga is discernment. Therefore if you cannot discern what is right and wrong - then you are either in an very elevated state of consciousness(unmani state of mind) or you are a moron who cares nothing for the right ofothers, other than what you believe to be right. Most terrorists and zealotsfall into the latter category.I would hope you can understand everyone sees the Infinite Consciousnesswhich we call Siva differently and afford them that opportunity. This is true and this is would be very acceptable if it didn't result in Hindus (or any other religion for that matter ) being persecuted and swindled out of its wealthUnderstand that these conversion attempts although they are sold as" for spiritual upliftment of wicked, evil people etc." are nothing more than very cheap politicking for the purpose of attaining Economic, Political and Social dominanceresulting in power brokering. These are not about genuine attempts to uplift anybody. Further it results in the loss of Traditions, Culture and Religious ideology over time, something which will not be tolerated by me especially.and why you might ask what gives me that right ? I am a servant of Shiva and so must do as I am instructed, the culture developed over millenia has certain developed self destructive aspects to it, but by and large it contains tremendous power if understood, implemented and utilized correctly. In an effort to make all aware of the scope and gravity of the problem of Hindu Persecution, destruction of temples and culture. Please goto the following links to learn about it from a more in depth perspective.Persecution of Hindus - http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Persecution_ of_HindusGoa Inquisition - http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Goa_InquisitionReservation in India - http://en.wikipedia .org/wiki/ Reservation_ in_India "What I feel is that one has to be judged by one's merits and not by one's faults.I ask you repeatedly to seek out your own faults and others' merits. If you enquire deeply, you will notice that personal criticism is nothing but the "reflection of theinner being". You spot the bad in the outside world, because of the bad in you. There is nothing that you can find outside yourself. This is true and while you are doing this, some ignoramus who really couldn't care less about what Baba says, may just come up to you, point a gun to your head and pull the trigger !Losing your ego is only valuable when you are trying to still your mind so that you can receive communication from God (you can't hear while your mind is busily engaged in thinking ) it does not mean that you have to walk around like a zombie who cannot think analyze and act according to the situation, this is the reason God gave you five senses, the first three Chakras for self-preservation and as a bonus a Brain to think with ! Altering reality is only for advanced beings, this does not happen easily and will result in your getting killed if you are not careful. For example we can all claim that the world is Maya ( illusion) but walk in front ofa moving car and reality will hit you like a moving car ! The fact that illusion existsis at one level of consciousness, where it does not exist is in consciousness, when you can perform Samayama (intense meditation) and learn to understand its intricacies and differentiate then you can bend it to suit your will, until thenyou are trapped and are subject to its laws like everything else inclusive of death. This process can take one lifetime or it can take many. The warrior of the light will learn to master opposing forces convertinghis weakness into strength ! This is how he survives and goes beyond the realm of weakness of his senses. As is your vision so appears the creation. As is the colour of the glasses youwear, so is the colour of the world you see. If you are aware of this truth, you willnever criticise anybody.Agreed and in the mean time while I do not criticize them or take action against their efforts, they are free to malign and destroy that which they do not understand. The first rule of life is survivalHinduism Says Dharma, Artha, Kama, Moksha is the order of progression for mortals, this means that you have to get Dharma (righteous living) and throughthe right use of Dharma you acquire Artha (wealth), through righteous use of wealth you get Kama (fulfillment of your desires) through righteous desires you attain Moksha (liberation)There is a war that is continuous, that war is Economics, all you have to do is see it. Now you can choose to Act to ensure that you, your culture and your religion are not anihilated in the process (this is dharma ) or you can renounce the world go to the Himalayas and attain enlightenment. While you get enlightened the rest of your world dies ! If everyone chose enlightenment how would the religion survive if it wereobliterated ? Some claim that God will ensure the survival of the religion and weneed not worry, really when did Siva tell you so ? Why did he give you a body with a brain and the ability to act ? If none before me saw it fit to develop propagate and transmit their knowledge, how would I know of it ?This is why we have a debt to ancestors, parents, teachers that can never be repaid ( this is one of the symbolisms of the sacred thread Yagyopavita. )You see many confuse escapist attitudes with the practicality of living in the hope that God will correct problems, as you say you make your own reality. Therefore what we sow is what we will reap. There is a huge misperception about Karma and Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga is NOT about non action, it is about asking God for guidance to act in accordance with the will of God and surrendering the fruits of that action to God. I will post what Lord Krishna has said shortly to exemplify this point.Namah SivayaBest RegardsPandit Devindra Maharajecjensen_us <ecjensen_us wrote: OM NAMAH SIVAYA everyone understands and perceives the Infinite according to our own limited perceptions. hence to define The Infinite using the finite will always be incomplete. your words are a excellent example as out of the thousands of Names and countless forms of Siva you picked out 2 to exemplify your perception of Him. to me it's not Siva but the human ego acting out of the ignorance of separation that is the culprit in causing the killing and atrocities we see happening to One another. and history has proven dealing with ego through the ego has had at best had mixed results, and is the main ingredient which wars and religious conflict are made of. i suppose this is behind Einstein saying that no real problem can be solved out of the Consciousness from which it was created. i would hope you can understand everyone sees the Infinite Consciousness which we call Siva differently and afford them that opportunity. but do continue to share your knowledge with posts such as your previous One about the different aspects of the Chakras, which as with many of your help me, and i am sure others here, increase our understanding, Knowledge and Vision of what God Is. some words of Sai Baba emailed to me earlier today that seem relevant; "What I feel is that one has to be judged by one's merits and not by one's faults.
