Guest guest
Hi guys.... im Dinesh from Malaysia, and 19 years old this year.As u all know,im an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva...lately, my life has been ultimately missarable, but i have not given up on Lord Shiva and continue worshiping him with all my heart. But a priest told us that we are actually under Perumal Naamam [under Lord Vishnu?? i think].. but i told him that im under Lord Shiva, please excuse me... I must say i cant chant any other Lords/Goddess mantra, its Alwiz OM NAMAH SHIVAYA for me.... but i do pray to ALL of them & respect them Equally as Eashwara. Just this Saturday... i got up around 7am, my Lord Shiva locket chain came out.... something which never happened in the last 4-5 years, the chain has been hangging on my neck for a very long time. When i saw the chain on my matress, i was shocked, then i thought logicly, ok probably it came out coz i slept very messily... k...then my right hand, only a particular part was hurting...when i take a look at it... my veins were clearly poping out... when i look propaly, for my eyes, it looked like a Lord Vishnu's Naamam...the U shape.... here i have attachted the pics of my veins... plz take a look and advice me on this incident. http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4264/naamamveindy0.jpg http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/3902/naamamvein2kq1.jpg I must admit that lately ive been going to Lord Venkatesh's Shrine every Saturday Morning.i think around 1 month ago i started going to His place.Does this means Lord Shiva is now 'sending' me to Lord Vishnu???? But i dont think i can leave Lord Shiva or just pray to Him normally without giving him my heart & soul.... What should i do.... please ADVICE!!!!!!!! Guest guest
Namaste all. _/\_ This reminds me of another wonderful experience I had. On our pilgrimage to Tirupathi of South India in 2003, I recall two astonishing events that took place. After finishing Darshan of the Lord Venkateshvara on the hill-top, our family proceeded to visit His consorts in 'Manga Puram', at the foot-hill. There were beautiful garlands made of fresh, fragrant red roses being sold at the temple market. We bought a few and our family members offered theirs while having Darshan of Sridevi, Alamelu Manga, Padmavati Devi. I didn't offer mine since our next stop was going to be 'Sri Kalahasti', an auspicious famous abode of Lord Shiva and I had saved one nice rose garland for offering Lord Shiva. I had carefully hand-carried it in a damp towel all the way during an hour-long ride and finally when our car stopped in 'Sri Kalahasti', I stepped out holding it in my both palms. You wont believe it, our car happened to be parked right in front of Lord Krishna's temple! The Dark Lord was wearing peacock feathered crown holding flute in His hands, with a mischievous smile on His lips! I have never imagined this. How on earth, this Krishna temple appeared right in the sacred abode of Lord Shiva, and that too right before my eyes without giving me a chance to escape or proceed any further! My family members chuckled at me saying since my 'Ishta Deva' - Beloved God was Lord Krishna, He would like to be lovingly adorned by my garland offering! For the reason of not to let it be handed over to Lord Shiva, the temple of Sri Krishna stood right on my way to Shiva's main temple. I too felt a strong urge to adorn my Beloved Lord with the rose garland that I have brought so carefully for Lord Shiva. But the priest was on his lunch break and no one to place it on the Lord. I waited there for a while and there was no sign of priest's return. The devotees in the temple asked me to place it on the Lord by my own hands as the garland would be loosing its freshness if I waited any longer. So I did decorate the Divine Thief Who stole the garland intended for Lord Shiva! Or did Lord Shiva Himself make me place it on His Beloved! Or is the Supreme truth of Their Oneness being revealed here in this lila? Jaya Sri Radhe! <dinesh.theboss wrote: > > I must admit that lately ive been going to Lord Venkatesh's Shrine > every Saturday Morning.i think around 1 month ago i started going to > His place.Does this means Lord Shiva is now 'sending' me to Lord > Vishnu???? > > But i dont think i can leave Lord Shiva or just pray to Him normally > without giving him my heart & soul.... Guest guest
Dear Dinesh Ji, Only you or a siddh guru would be abloe to better understand your situation. I would suggest that for the time being, continue with your daily puja to Siva. It is quitre possible that during your visits to the temple, there is something that you ought to have done but omitted out of ignorance or memory slips....perhaps some kind of karmic debt that you need to pay or servide you need to perform. If there is anything, you will definitely find out in time. In any of the above cases or even if it is anything else, you need not give up your devotion to Siva. If you look at Siva linga, the part of it beneath the ground represents Brahma, the middle portion represents Visnu and the top represents Siva. Pray to a linga and at once, you see of the the 3 deities in one. Hope this helps. Regards, Bhupendra. , " Dinesh " <dinesh.theboss wrote: > > Hi guys.... im Dinesh from Malaysia, and 19 years old this year.As u > all know,im an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva...lately, my life has been > ultimately missarable, but i have not given up on Lord Shiva and > continue worshiping him with all my heart. Guest guest
Namaste all. _/\_ I've celebrated Maha Siva Ratri on Feb 16, 2007 at Amritsar (City of Golden Temple of Sikhs), Punjab, India. We visited a Shiva's Temple to offer our respects that auspicious night. This temple is famous for its crystal Shiva Linga which continuously changes into many spontaneous colors! We bought fragrant flower garlands at the temple entrance market to offer to the Lord. As my friend placed hers over the Shivalinga, I did not want to crowd the alter with more. So I felt like placing my garland over Lord's Trishula (Trident) that was kept erect beside the Shiva linga. But the Trident was already decorated with a hanging flower garland. I removed that one to offer mine so that the removed garland could be enjoyed as 'prasad', or grace, as a remnant of humble offering by devotees. While removing the garland and adorning the Trident with the fresh garland I brought, I couldn't help noticing the well placed large Sanskrit inscriptions on the silver Trident of Lord Shiva: " Sri Rama " ! I was thrilled to know Lord Rama Himself was standing here and receiving my offering brought for Lord Shiva! Of course, we've all heard this famous chanting: 'zrI rAma rAma rAmeti rame rAme manorame, sahasra nAma tat tulyaM rAma nAma varAnane!' Lord Shiva tells to His Consort Devi Parvati- " O Delight of My heart, O My dear beautiful-faced Lady! I Myself constantly enjoy the Supreme bliss, chanting the Divine Name of My Beloved, - 'Sri Rama, Rama, Rama!' Which is equal to reciting one thousand Names of Lord Vishnu, Sriman Narayana!! Guest guest
Dear Friend, I must say at the outset that I am not an authority on any matter but I would like tell you that they both are the same entity you are probably being tested for your devotion to one of HIS forms by HIMSELF But in this world there are laws that HE has made and you have been born in a particular lineage whose KULDEV is in the form of LORD KRISHNA whereas your planetary configuration draws you to HIS form of LORD SHIVA who can be your ishtdev I would suggest that you ask guidance from your kuldev what you should do to make your ishtdev happy. HE keeps on playing with HIS devotees so go along with your prayers as you will be guided by HIM only I hope I am not being confusing. Guest guest
Pranam, Dinesh. If the priest means that your kula deivam is Perumal, then, you should first offer your pranams to Narayana. As you know, there is Kula Deivam, Grama Deivam and Ishta Deivam. Kula Deivam helps us to reach our Ishta deivam. Also, Shiva's Beloved is Vishnu and Vishnu's Beloved is Lord Shiva. So. don't resist. Go with the flow. I hope this helps. With Love Shankaree b_jamnadas <b_jamna> wrote: Dear Dinesh Ji,Only you or a siddh guru would be abloe to better understand your situation. Guest guest
SRI MAATRE NAMAHA Dear Sri Dinesh ji Namaste. I wondered to see your message. I am herby mentioning my views about it. As per my Guru teachings I can confirmly say that there is no difference between Lord Vishnu and Lord Sambhu.Sri Aadisankaraacharya also confirms the same in his Sivananda lahari as followes. " Banatwam vrushabhatwa mardhavapushaa bhaaryaatwa maaryaapate ghonitwam sakhitaa mrudangawahataa cheatyadi rupam dadow twatpade nayanaarpanamcha krutavaan twaddehabhaago harihi pujyaapujyatarassayevahi nacheat kova tadadnyodhikaha menas :- Lord Vishnu assisted Lord Siva as an arrow in the battle of Tripuraasura samhaara. The bullak of lord Siva is Vishnu. The Vishnu is the wife of Lord Siva and he occupied His half body as a female and as such Siva became ARDHANAAREESWARA. Lord Vishnu beats the drums in the evening at the time of Sandhya Tandava of Maheswara. As such we may not see any difference in betweeen the two GODS. The Sruti also tells the same as " SIVAAYA VISHNU RUPAYA SIVARUPAYA VISHNAVE SIVASYA HRUDAYAGUM VISHNUH VISHNOSCHA HRUADAYUAGUM SIVAHA YATHAANTARAM NAPASYAMI TATHAAME SWASTIRAAYUSHI " You may worship Lord Vishnu or Lord Siva as you like . But when you want to get anything speccifically by striving you may go on the path shown by your Guruji only with specific mantra intiated by him. You need not worry at all about the incident you faced and go forward with bold. No power shall harm you until you are bold. please study Swamy Vivekananda's teachings which shall helps you to come out from the coverdness. May GOD bless you with boldness, prosperity and victory everywhere. with blessings DR.G.S.SUBRAMANYA SASTRY drgsssastry 08554 255680 SRI MAA , " b_jamnadas " <b_jamna> wrote: > > Dear Dinesh Ji, > > Only you or a siddh guru would be abloe to better understand your > situation. Guest guest
Om Namah Sivayah! Namaste. I am also reminded of a very melodious verse from Sant Tulasi Das's Rama Carita Maanas; Lord Shiva tells His divine consort Devi Parvati: Umaa kahahu mai anubhav apnaa binu hari bhajan jagat sub sapnaa My dear Lady, Uma, listen to the great declaration of My own realization! Apart from the loving devotion of Lord Hari, the whole worldly existence is simply a dream!!
