Guest guest
Dear Friends, Sri Ramakrishna effectively pointed out that there are three kinds of devotees. Some said God is in the skies, the second group says God is everywhere and the third group opines God is within us. This concept of God being within us is present in all religions. " The Kingdom of God is within you. - Jesus " . Now who is this God and where does he stay? The Upanishads say that the soul is about the size of our thumb and stays in the " inner heart " . We do not see him because of various layers of ignorance. This particular aspect was being discussed in a meeting where Swami's Turiyanandaji and Adbhutanandaji were present. The speaker said, " Just as we peel the layers of a grain to get at the kernel, similiarly we need to unravel the layers of ignorance to find God within. " Now Swami Adbhutanandaji had an " adbhuta " reaction to this. He kept nudging Turiyanandaji saying, " Hari, the man is right !! " . After a point of time Hari Maharaj got fed up and quit the meeting with Latu Maharaj in tow. They reached their place of stay and Hari Maharaj soon was absorbed in deep sleep. At midnight Hari Maharaj was awakened by a rude shake to hear Latu Maharaj whispering in his ear, " Hari, the man is right !!! " . Now Hari Maharaj understood everything. The illiterate Latu Maharaj was extremely excited because he had realised the same experience in his scripturally unaided spiritual life !!! He was stunned and kept quiet in reverence to the great soul that Latu Maharaj was. Regards, Jagannath. Guest guest
Om Namah Sivaya The Vel is the Jnana Sakti of the Lord. Its tip is wide, long and sharp, signifying incisive discrimination and Spiritual Knowledge, which must be broad, deep and penetrating. It destroys ignorance and restores the Jiva to its original abode of pristine glory. “The man of knowledge knows that God is here, very near, in the heart; that He has assumed all forms and dwells in all hearts as their Inner Controller.” ---Sri Ramakrishna Tirumantiram by Rishi Tirumular (verse 1010): Jnana Dispels Heart’s Darkness Light and Darkness together are in heart; So does it seek Grace and Ignorance at once; The knowledge within of Jiva is bereft of Light; Except those who have Divine Jnana attained, The rest despair of dispelling Darkness. Tirukural by Tiruvalluvar (verses 353): Heaven is nearer than Earth for those who dispel all doubt and know the Truth. Sivaya Namah Mail is the world's favourite email.
