Guest guest
Hello all: It is a common knowledge among Saivites as to who is qualified to utter the following mantras: NaMaSiVaYa, SiVaYaNaMa, SiVaYaMaNa. www.bhagavadgitausa.com/OM_NAMASIVAYA.htm Most of us have a frontload of Obscuration and impurities (Na and Ma). SiVa representing Siva and Arul form the middle of the Mantra and Ya is the individual soul at the tail end of the Mantra. We are qualified to say only NaMaSiVaYa. The Jiva Muktas are qualified to say SiVaYaNaMa, SiVaYaMaNa. The details are described below. Tirumular says that anagram Mantra, Na-Ma-Va-Si-Ya stands in the sphere of Fire; Va-Si-Ya stands in that of Sun; and Va-Si stands in the sphere of Moon. The basic Mantra is Na Ma Si Va Ya. See variant example below. When the soul Ya is flanked by Na and Ma on the front and Si and Vâ on the back, Na and Ma representing Tirodhana and Mala lead the soul into bondage and rebirth and Si and Vâ representing Siva and Arul confer salvation and Grace to the soul. Na Ma Ya Si Vâ In the above Mantra, obscuration and impurities are the burdensome front load (Na Ma) on the soul Ya, Siva and Grace Si Vâ come once the soul is divested of the front load. Na Ma Ya Si Vâ: This is what you want. At this juncture the soul Ya sits between Si Vâ and the new configuration is Si Ya Vâ. This is bliss; this is liberation. Na = Tirodhana Sakti or Obscurant Siva Sakti. Ma = Malas or impurities Si = Siva Vâ = Grace Ya = soul Kçvala state is dream-sleep state of the soul Ya before birth. Sakala state is awake state, life of the embodied soul on earth (Na Ma Ya). Suddha state is deep-sleep state, merger with Siva (Si Vâ Ya---> Si Ya Vâ ); Na Ma left the soul.Yours,Krishnaraj Selvaratnam Selvakumar <selvauk Sent: Friday, May 4, 2007 12:09:54 PMRE: Siva's Will 1 Om Namah Sivaya Dear Sri Kanishk, I don't think you undestood the hymn properly. Saint Tayumanavar was one of the gifted Saivite saints. Please read the first two lines of the hymn together first and the other lines. "All is by Siva's Will" -This I realize not. .. .. ..All the sinful thoughtsThat day by day assail me,I drive not away.Swept into the flood of desires,I am caught in that swirlAnd there in vain I struggleGathering the tangles of repeated birth,The sinner that I am! In truth when you totally surrender everything as Siva's Will then there would be no thoughts arise in your mind and you would not create further karmas.
