Dear Friends,

I think the following saying of Thakur answers a question put by a

list member who wanted to know how to realise God.

> Sri Ramakrishna's saying: " He who has God here

> (pointing to the heart), has Him also there (pointing

> to the external world). He, who does not find God

> within himself, will NEVER find Him outside of

> himself. But he who sees Him in the temple of his own

> soul, sees Him also in the temple of the universe. "

It also somehow reminds me of an advice of Sri Ramana Maharshi. When

confronted by a visiting devotee who refused to be convinced, the

Maharshi simply said, " Go back to where you came from !! " The devotee

was crestfallen but the other overjoyed disciples showed him how the

great saint had indeed blessed him and shown him the way.

" Dive deep O mind, there are many jewels lying at the doorsteps of

God. "

Regards,

Jagannath.

Om Namah Sivaya The Vel is the Jnana Sakti of the Lord. Its tip is wide, long and sharp, signifying incisive discrimination and Spiritual Knowledge, which must be broad, deep and penetrating. It destroys ignorance and restores the Jiva to its

original abode of pristine glory. “He who has God here (pointing to the heart), has Him also there (pointing to the external world). He, who does not find God within himself, will NEVER find Him outside of himself. But he who sees Him in the temple of his own soul, sees Him also in the temple of the universe.” ---Sri Ramakrishna Tirumantiram by Rishi Tirumular (verse 2349): Seek Siva Within the Self The Great souls that realize SivaThat is Self within,Will seek forth Siva in the Self; They who do not reach Siva in the Self,Will reach Siva NEVER. Tirukural by Tiruvalluvar (verses 352): For those of undimmed perception, free from delusion, darkness departs and rapture rushes in. Sivaya Namah
