Guest guest
Dear All, The idea that God is Separate or God is discriminated by us through Dispassion or God Exist in everything are stages in ones spiritual development. Most of that is over 98% are still in the first stage where God is seen as Dwaita that is separate from us as a separate being. When this stage of sipitual belief is strong than God will definitely take a form based on the strength of our Passion in Spiritual develpment. Therefore it is pointless to have one view that God is one or many. Sri Ramakrishna Parahamsa always had this dialogue as to God is one or many with many pundits. One such sage is Trailanga Swami who lived for over three hundred years. To live and contemplate on God for three hundred years only a slected few had that opportunity in one life. Now according to this swami when Parahamsa posed this question the Swami said that God is one when God is perceived within you but God is many when God is percieved out side you. As you can see one can write a million pages and not arrive at a conclusive answer. What can bring a specific answer is only contemplation and silence. in front of spiritual development on must stop rationalising and allow free flow of spirits for grace to decend. In some places there is a manifestation of the power of Knowledge; in the others, of the power of ignorance. In some places there is greater manifestation of power than in others. Don't you see that among human beings there are cheats and gamblers, to say nothing of men who are like tigers. I think of them as the 'cheat God', the 'tiger God'.We should salute them from a distance. If we go near the 'tiger God' and embrace him, he may devour us. He and His Power, Brahman and Its Power - nothing else exists but this. Believe in the form of God. It is only after attaining Brahmajnana that one sees non-duality, the oneness of Brahman and Its Sakti. Brahman and Sakti are identical, like fire and its power to burn. When a man thinks of fire, he must also think of its power to burn. Again, when he thinks of the power to burn, he must also think of fire. Further, Brahman and Sakti are like milk and its whiteness, water and its wetness." -----Sri Ramakrishna Sivaya Namah Answers - Got a question? Someone out there knows the answer. Try it now.
