Guest guest
Om Namah Shivaya. I'm planning to go to Varanasi, as an year is over after my father's demise. Thinking of doing some rituals at Kashi. I'll be at Kashi from 11th to 14th of April. I'm totally unaware of the place & the type of rituals I should do. Being from a middle class family I can't spend much. Please help me in making my attempt successful. Thanks & Regards, Bala...... ______________________________\ ____ Never miss an email again! Guest guest
Not to mention that it will be a very fulfilling experience. I visited Varanasi during diwali for the first time and there are two things you must do. 1) Attend the Mangala aarti at the Vishwanath Temple. The aarti starts are 3 o' clock and there will be practically very few people. You will get very good darshan and it is an amazing experience. Hotels often buy tickets in advance if notified. 2) Spend some time in the temple till around 6 and then just walk across the Dasashwamedha Ghat which was the Ghat build my Lord Rama's Father Dashrath. Take a boat ride and see one of the most beautifull sunrise in the country. You can do various poojas at the ghat and there will be plenty of Brahmins there but do be carefull they do get very greedy. Actually if you are planning a budget trip there are more than 100 ghats and all of them have small hotels where tourists often stay for months to cherish the beauty of the most ancient city. I long to go again and again...... If possible do convey my greetings to the Lord at Vishwanath temple. Best Regards, Jay Don't pick lemons. See all the new 2007 cars at Autos. Guest guest
JAI MAA, I was born in Varanasi , a native of Varanasi, but now I live outside India. First please visit Kal Bhairav who is the protector of Kashi Ganapati Baba Annapura Mandir Then finaly Baba Vishwanath. Please also have a darshan of MAA Durga (here she is in her Chamunda roop). Sankat Mochan Mandir (Sri Hanuman Mandir) is in existance since Sri Ram Avataran on the earth. The temples listed are all Jagrit you will get spiritual experiences. If possible go with some one who is a native of Varanasi. Other wise the priests may take you for a ride. One thing always helps There is a Swami Vivekananda Ashram near by, the resident swamiji is from south. He may be able to help you. His name is Swami Shradhanana. Call him on his cell phone and he will help you. His number is 9415285023.
