The mantra will know what to do based on your intention, intend what healing is needed and chant the mantra, the deity or the energy of the mantra will do the rest, leave the result to the deity do not hold on to it, let the healing be done for the highest purpose.

You can use Shiv Mantra Maha Mrutyunjaya Mantra  " OM TRIUMBAKAM YEJA MAHE ... " and also Sri Rama Mantra " OM RAM RAMAYA NAMAHA " for healing self and others, eventually these mantras are for spiritual evolution but it can be used for healing as physical, mental and spiritual healing is part of spiritual evolution.

like I have already said I use mantra " om namah shivaya " a lot

 

in which I truly have feeling in shiva=god

 

for specific healing mantra I use

 

om tayata bekanze bekanze maha bekanze radja sumdgate soha

 

there is a speficic shiva mantra for healing?
