Guest guest
To reach happiness via the way of theBudisattva: http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bodhisattva You must enter into the way of life of abodhisattva with out becoming complacent.Ordinary beings engage in many activitiesto produce a little contaminated happiness, because they are not sure wheather theywill achieve the expected results or not. There may be only a fifty-fifty chance oftheir achieving what they want, but still,ordi-nary people work very hard. However,if you follow the bodhisattva's way of life,it is 100percent certain that you will find lasting peaceand happiness. The bodhisattva's way of life ispleasing and useful to you and all other sentientbeings. No lasting satisfaction can be derived fromsensual pleasures or desirable objects.Thesethings are like honey smeared on the sharpblade of a sword. When you lick it,you may beable to taste the honey's sweetness, but at thesame time you lose your tongue. But when you work toward the lasting peaceof liberation, you will achieve great merit andpeace.Without being complacent, work toaccumulate the merit that results in the peaceof liberation. If you do so,you will be able to bringyour efforts to a conclusion. Therefore, enterhappily into the bodhisattva's way of life, just asan elephant scotched by the sun plunges joyfullyinto the coolness of a lake. from The Joy of Living and Dying in Peace by H.H. the IVX Dalai Lama Explore the seven wonders of the world Learn more!
