Guest guest
What one asks to God during his whole life?Atleast I asked too much to him but he granted my wish finally! I live in remote place where mercury shoots upto 46*C in summer and winter normally stays very soft with min temp around 15*C,now back to main topic. I clearly remember the time when I started my mission when Iskcon forum on internet was busy picturing Shiva as Demi God and some real hot discussions were going on there, many times limits were crossed and finally that thread was closed(thank God).Perhaps that was the time I decided to do something fruitful for my soul and bought my first ever Rudraksha plant and planted it in my garden,if there is a will there is a success but that was not true in my case and plant could not survive in extreme heat during summer.I really felt very sorry and thought I perhaps not fortunate inuf to have this holy plant to grow at my place. Days goneby, each day when I wokeup my old wish never let me go and one day while surfing internet I saw huge Rudraksha forest in Hawaii and watched its slide show(which I am uploading in file section today so do search for Hawaii Rudraksha in file section please). So I again went to plant nursery and enquire for this holy tree then came to know that they don't have any plants right now but next week they may have few, well I said to myself and started waiting for God's order and that day came so fast! This time I bought not 1 but 4 plants and planted them in my garden..........time was ticking tick tick tick........... ------------------- Not much progress I saw in any of the plants I planted and one day I saw termites in one plant,I was shocked and immidiately called my gardner,he came and told me that we need to apply some chemicals which will smell like LPG gas and very toxic to get rid of these termites. For next 3 days it was indeed like some LPG cylinder kept open in my garden as smell was really horrible.I now started to belive that I cannot grow this holy plant ever as nature will not allow me to have it.I accepted this and started paying less attention to those trees. Approx 20 days later it was a Sunday morning and while talking on my cell I just had a casual look on the plant which was effected by termites and my eyes remained wide open- it was unbelivable!! -------------------- To be continued.......... Guest guest
When ever I used to look at my Rudraksha malas I always used to think of having my own garden of this holy tree one day.Last year I saw Rudraksha fruits for the first time in my life and when I hold them in my hands something very soothing effects I found in them.My interest in Rudraksha started growing more and more after seeing Rudraksha forest of Hawaii I wondered why we cannot grow them in hot climate? Termites are eaters of wood,.I lost all hopes when I saw huge group of termites around root of the plant going up and down in the soil. The difference between climate condition here and Nepal are totally different, here we have moisture, its most of time humid and hot where in Nepal its cool cool all the way(will post some helpful tips and my experience later on how to grow Rudraksha tree). ----------now continuing from my last post---------- My eyes saw something very strange, plant which was almost attacked by termites are now having small new leaves in all branches of flashy green color!I checked soil but there was no termites, that chemical really worked well and I managed to get rid of all of those killing insects,a great relief it was. Then again I started to take keen interest in my plants but strange thing I found was only one plant was showing a sign of progress where remaining three were stagnant, this situation remained same till today. The one which is now of almost 11-12 feet of height(the one effected by termites)is the most healthy plant in my garden,it is now showing a rapid progress and I find new leaves appearing on each branches and on the main trunk, progress is so fast that It is clearly visible to eyes. Why only this plant is growing and others are still not showing much progress? This answer I found after almost 2 months later. All 4 plants are in different direction as per the space I had in my garden, the leader is in the eastern side and growing very fast, this I showed to the gardener and the owner of nursery from where I purchased them, none could able to give me any satisfactory answer. Now it was a new puzzle why other plants are not growing well although I have taken care of providing similar catalyst to them like water, sun light etc...suddenly one day I found an answer of this big puzzle. There is one Bilwa tree and few plants of Kena(this is what we call it,I dont know its botanical name)near this Rudraksha plant which shows a rapid growth. You will here find a photograph of Kena plant ,it is a very common flower plant in almost all gardens in India http://www.stuckincustoms.com/2006/04/28/morning-flower/ So as per my knowledge if one wants to grow this holy tree in abnormal condition we need to have some supportive plants nearby, may be roots of Rudraksha is fetching food indirectly from surrounding plants of Bilwa and Kena(for example one cannot grow sandal wood tree directly as it is a dependant tree and you must have some supporting plants nearby to grow it).Now after observing this I planted few kena plants in remaining 3 plants but still I am not satisfied with the progress. So should we assume that the plant which is now growing fast has anything to do with the Bilwa tree?My observation says Yes because everything is similar in all 4 plants but only 1 is growing and that is because of Bilwa tree .....!! Puranas and our shashtras are 100% correct as they described Bilwa patra is very lovable to Shiva.I am no where a botanist nor I have any knowledge of botany,I might be a wrong to come on this conclusion but the fact is a fact which I have posted here. Few tips- Rudraksha plant needs black soil with sand parts in it for growth and not a plain soil.In short we need to use black sandy soil. Its always good to use some pesticide and give treatment to soil to overcome any insect problems like what I faced. After one week one should plant a tree in that soil. Always see that you have few supporting plants nearby. Watering is a must but water only when its needed,no over watering please. If you have a hot climatic condition select a space where there is a sun light either in morning or in evening as direct noon sun is bad for this plant. Last but most important point,Pray to Shiva before you plant this holy tree without his wish nothing moves in this universe,he is a God of Gods, once he will accept your prayer you too will have your own Rudraksha tree in your garden.
