We have acquired a nagmani yesterday only. It had light when we checked at

sellers location but after bringing to Mumbai it has no light at all. I

wondered if someone would be able to help us in identifying whether this is real

or is it a false item. It is of Honey Colour.

Hare Krishna, Please accept my best wishes, all glories to Sri Guru and Gauranga, all glories to all the devotees of the Lord.

It is a fake 1000%. These people must have called you at jungle (when male Sadhus show this mani they call the devotee to jungle) and shown you light emanating from the fake mani from a distance. It would have been positively night where you cannot see their movements. Its all remote controled. There must be few guys pretending to be villagers out there to see the magic but actually they are all same group people.

There is yet another group of 5 or 6 ladies which comes to even your house and in a darkened room they keep the fake mani in one towel or cloth(underneath there is a LED Circuit) they make a round circle of flower over the towel or cloth and around the fake mani and in dark they connect two wires and the LED glows. Since the moni is kept over the light you will think that the mani is glowing.

They will also say that they want to make a temple for the huge donation they would ask from you. Half amount you must have paid and half they would have told you to come to your place to take when the mani is shown in jungle..

If you negotiate with them from Rs. 4 Lakhs they can come down to Rs. 30000

They are all goons and fraud people. Beware.I hope this will help,Aum Namoh Bhagvate Vasudevay Saligram Devah NamahaI beg to remain yours in the humble service of the Lord and Hisdevotees. Namaste,

The Nagamani is crystal and its light is not affected by sound. The typical

materials which have phosphorescence are flour spar and iceland spar former is

variety of Fluorite and later is transparent variety of Calcite. the typical

hardness of these materials vary from 3 to 4 and the specific gravity varies

from 2.7 to 3.3. The refractive index should be around 1.44. These crystals also

exhibit prefect octahedral cleavage. So a gemological lab report is must and the

is one Nagamani in Natural History Museum Newyark with gemological test report.

Remember that nobody would sell a real Nagamani, and the one which I am aware

was sold for around US$ 350+ million, it was sold from one royal family to

another.

Regards
