Interesting, we can find ample mention of " Naga Mani " in Garuda Purana, BUT, not

a single mention of " Navaratna " - not even in the gem related section of the

Purana.

various people experienced, i understood that there are various types of

nagamanis which we can now, for discussion purpose, call stones of a snake or

snake stones aka snake gems.

light at will and some stones that wont emit any light. the legendary nagamani

shown in an artistic viewpoint as a big ruby type red gem atop the hood of king

cobra is not seen or available anywhere in my knowledge. members are at liberty

to share any information if they have on this. most snakecharmers and those who

deal in these items say that the growth of light emission is proportionate to

the age of the snake and the stone from an younger snake do not possess that

much light as that of an old snake gem. so nagamanis which are genuine from

snakes but are not old enough or grown enough do not emit enough light yet they

are rarest to get.

lives in jungles and it was in honey colour, was solid and was a sort of

transparent and was emitting some light though not several feet or meters away.

after repeated requests, he agreed to sell it for few lakhs of rupees and am

only facilitating his sale to help him. after few tests, i found that it emits

light at will especially when it is kept atop a leaf or a flower in dark in

nature and not inside house. some members may be looking for a torchlight or

batterycell type object which must emit light 24 hours applying physics and

science principles.

purely on the basis of faith and not on the sole criteria of it throwing light

like a switched on electric bulb. so members looking for an ever shining round

the clock light emiting nagamani, may excuse me as i dont have such.

collectors can have it on first come first served basis and the expected price

too is only in affordable six digit indian rupees. am not subjecting it to

burning test etc., as i feel it holy and rever it with belief to receive the

blessings and boons from the nagaraja.
