Rudraksha=Lord Rudra (Shiva), so WHY Grahas?

Shastra supplies information on every type of Shalagram Shila, but it's ALWAYS

Vishnu. It is not related to any Graha. So why not same for Rudraksha and Lord

Shiva!?? Every mukhi is Lord Shiva. Isn't that GOOD ENOUGH?

As for difference of mukhis we should follow Shastra, keeping in mind it's

always Lord Shiva behind every Rudraksha.

If Jupiter can call himself " Rudraksha " , then he becomes a Graha guilty of

copyright violation. Using name of Lord Rudra without a license or Scriptural

authority.

read specific chapter in Shiva Maha Puran on Rudraksha and it does not mention

of any relation of Rudraksha with planets. Also this relationship has changed

recently on some websites. Many people have invested in 8 mukhi assuming it is

for Rahu. The ruling god of eight mukhi is lord Ganesha, the first-born child of

universe and Ketu is directly linked with Ganesha, this change was reflected

very recently by some websites where as the relationship between lord Ganesha

and Ketu existed in scriptures from beginning. But some of associations like

planet Sun assigned to 3 mukhi seems irrational. The direct planetary

association to particular mukhi is not mentioned in scriptures. Pandit Arjunji

can throw more light on this.

There is none in particular. Because Shalagram is Vishnu. And Rudraksha is Lord

Shiva. So, what is the need for made-up planet-Rudraksha co-relation? Why not

JUST Shiva-shakti? We KNOW that is true. But planet relationship sounds

unnecessary and man-made (imaginary). With Shalagram there is no need of

astrology, so why is there a need with Rudraksha? Unless it is really Shastric.

Dear All, being a member of this forum I read more and comment less-but this time I thought I need to write a thing or two.

Why do we have to assign planets for specific rudraksha ? that two depending upon the number system on the basis of faces it has.

The very theory of assigning a number to a planet seems ridiculous to me .

Vedic astrolgy based on natal chart and houses is a science in itself --yielding different combinations,( more than millions ,explaining which is beyond the scope of this post temporarily), resulting in a probabability(situation) the the native will face due to planetary motion.

Vedic astrology and mathematics evolved concurrently , if numbers were to be assigned to planets so simplistically --our ancient scholars would have done so . Otherwise we have to assume that astrlogers were not mathematicians or mathematicians did not hear about contemporary astrology , in a country which gave the rest of the world the concept of zero.

Numerology could also be justified as science as numbers often repeat itself in our life time giving certain indications.

what we are trying to do crudely combine the three --astrology +numerology+rudraksha.

Unknowingly we are playing into the hands of dealers who are offering rudraksha as a remedy for planetary ill effects, as an easy way of changing luck --the traders wont simply be able to sell it to vedic astrology believers ,which is a sizeable population ,if he only says feel the cosmic vibration of Shiva in rudraksha. So it is a very well thought out marketing policy.

I did not have objections with other sites which assign 14 mukhi to shani ---and say " wear this and u win a super lotto tomorrow with shanis blessings"----until I saw rudrakshas being assigned to planets with the help of numbers in Richard's Site---oops that hurt me.

As he is, I thought Richard ,a most rational Hindu (not for his profound knowledge of sacred texts but for his rational thoughts and realisation).(U can be a bigger hindu than by birth if U are a hindu by philosophy). And I am sure he just wanted to add another sacred object to his site without thinking too much .

Classification of rudrakshas having different properties having different faces are but welcome.

Most sites that have vested interest of selling Rudrakshas by misleading people who want to change their LUCK, quickly.

All Rudrakshas will Help u get Shiva (through proper Japa)--it can even change your DESTINY.

I am ready for all the bombs ,right now to expolde in this forum, specially Richard's
