Guest guest
The "pain" of a pin prick is real - the "suffering" of the pin prick a delusion, the pain roots in the senses, the suffering in the memory. You can let go of suffering even without reaching the self. The experience of pain is articulated by thought that is born from the senses that is held forth by consciousness, thereby by the all pervasive self - the suffering is articulated by the thought that is born from attachment, which is articulated by ignorance or maya.
