Guest guest
Why Ayurveda? Why Vegetarian Food? We have been having this discussion form last 4 days on this topic and based on that some of us agreed and some disagreed …. Why Ayurveda is failing As Richard Ji pointed out as Ayurveda is failing in modern days in comparison to modern day medicine that's the actual truth and I guess we all agree on that. But why? Because it was not designed for modern day lifestyle the way we eat and the time we wake up. In ancient days Rishis used to wake up before sun rise and do Yoga Sadhana, which already give a lot of boost to there body and mind. And then they meditated which not only give rest and peace to mind and soul but also spiritual upliftment. Blame it to Ayurveda is very easy way as we do for rest of other things. Ayurveda was designed by this Rishis to cure simple diseases one might encounter in that period of time. Surgery, Psychology… and many other modern day way of treatment are derived from Ayurveda don't forget that. Why Vegetarian Food? Again the food we eat, the time we eat and what we eat is very important as per Ayurveda. And based on Ayurveda food is divided into three major category 1. Rajasik 2. Tamasik 3. Saatvik It is believed that the food we eat, decides the quality of our minds and health of our bodies. This section highlights Saatvik cooking. Saatvik food consists of lightly cooked vegetables with minimum spices, fruits, nuts, honey, milk and milk products. Jain food is also very similar to saatvik cooking except that certain root foods like potatoes, ginger, onions, garlic are prohibited Satvik Diet is not another fad diet ,it's a way of life,it's ayurvedic diet.According to Ayurveda,it has been described as food that is vegetarian, simple, mildly spiced and easily digestible.Cooked in minimal oil and heat and is eaten fresh.Food that encourages peaceful energy within the person is known as Saatvik Diet. Everyone can balance their life by eating Saatvik food atleast twice a week and it's not hard to incorporate Saatvik food in your diet.Having Saatvik Food for a week ( even leaving garlic and onions) will give you peaceful energy and it will calm you down.Add to it an hour of walk in the greens and you will discover a new you. We are the one who should be blamed not Ayurveda, in ancient time diseases where also cured by Raaga (music) the best example is Taansen. http://joomla.esotericteaching.org/joomla/goodies/askbaba/spiritual- lifestyle/630-why-do-you-eat-a-vegetarian-diet http://www.dayafterindia.com/apr108/food.html Hope this helps God Bless
Guest guest
Hello Ole Thanks for your responce completely agree to you that, Not only that Britisher destroyed the so call NALANDA UNIVERSITY which was the only Vedic institution left. The sad part about all this is that still in Indian schools and big institutions still we follow MAX MULLER theory that Vedic people came from West??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_M%C3%BCller For which he later contradicted but still FOOLS in India believe that FAKE theory... PLEASE WATCH Scientific Verification of Vedic Knowledge in Hinduism Our Religion and culture is rich please respect and have belive in it. By 1833, it had sufficient authority to ban all ayurvedic colleges and opened the first Western-style medical university. Ayurvedic medicine survived only in rural areas where local doctors treated those who could not afford Western medicine. Only in 1920 did the discipline of ayurveda begin to regain its former respect. When India established independence in 1947, ayurvedic medical schools were once more officially accepted and allowed to open. Today, well over 100 ayurvedic colleges in India grant degrees after a five-year program. More than 300,000 ayurvedic physicians belong to the All-India Ayurveda Congress, making it the largest medical organization in the world.
