Guest guest
At thy Lotus Feet Had it not been for Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's celestial intervention, Brindavana would have been forever lost to mankind. Thanks to his ceaseless grace it was rediscovered.... What thanks may be enough to acknowledge a love which knows not a word. As i planned another visit to Brindavana, i reinforced my desire to visit Katyayani Peeth located in Radha Kund. I also had an inherent desire to meet the current Mahant Swami Vidyanand Maharaj & get a chance to seek his counsel. So as we reached Brindavan, i first scuppered off to Keshi Ghata, to pay obeisance to the idol of Jugal Kishora. As usual i found the small temple unmanned. Seeking the grace of Lord I hurried of to join my friends. Almost all of them were hungry & wanted to savour the Kachoris & Pedas of Loi Bazaar. Pretending that I knew Mahant Vidyanandji, i told them that a sumptuous meal awaits them at the Peeth. As we reached the location, we found a motorcade coming out of an alley. As though with intuitive insight i caught a glimpse of Mahantji. Asking our chauffeur to block the first vehicle of the entourage. I bounded off like a monkey to the person who looked like the mahant. As he glimpsed at me, i mumbled "Sir, are you Vidyanandji?". Looking puzzled he asked me how i knew him. To which i replied that i had seen his photograph on the Internet!!!!! "What's that??", he asked quizzically. Realising that he was going somewhere, i requested him to continue. In the meanwhile renunciates of Peeth had surrounded our car & were about to confront us for our brazen act of blocking the entourage. Just then Mahantji gestured them to lay off us, & told them he was going nowhere. After which he lovingly asked us to enter the Peeth. As soon as we parked the car, the residents of the Peeth ushered us inside the living quarters of the Mahant. Vidyanandji was sitting under the imposing facade portrait of the founder of the Peeth. To my surprise he ordered that food be served to us. This surprised me know end & my friends gave me that knowing smile. Mahantji personally overlooked that we ate our hearts content. & by jove how much we ate. Even the cook who had a waistline of 50, was not amused. Mysteriously Mahantji asked us to take some rest, that too in a lush & sprawling room. To cut the extremely long story short we had a most fulfilling trip to Brindavana, gained the immense spiritual counsel of a learned saint for two full days. All for someone who had met him the first time & never visited the Peeth. My friends goaded me to offer some money to Mahantji, when i did... he gave the look, that made me feel sorry for such a long time. Embracing me & kissing me he uttered few words which shall always remain with me. Just as we were leaving I just happened to ask, "Sir for where, were you headed the other day." He brushed it off with a loving wave of hands..... Subsequently we learned that the day we blocked his path, he was going for a health check-up to Agra, on account of Renal Insuffciency. Yes.... What love is it that knows not a word........... Abhishek Connect with friends all over the world. Get India Messenger.
