Guest guest
Dear Forum Members, The Annual Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra, in Puri, brings fathomless rapture in the hearts of humans & celestials alike. Not so long ago, the lord displayed his unfathomable affection for a Moslem Cobbler Devotee. It so happened that the annual procession passed from a lane where the cobbler practiced his wares. After years of viewing the enthusiastic devotees pulling the celestial chariots, a desire arose in his heart to do the same. He expressed his heart's desire to the Panda's who rebuffed him & chided him for his foolishness. They told him in no uncertain terms, scat!!!! vamoose!!!! That particular year, a strange incident occurred, the chariot procession commanded by divine will stopped at the very spot the cobbler mended his customers shoes. The Panda's & Devotees put their spines into making the chariots move, but they did not budge. The huffing & puffing devotees had no clue as to what was transpiring. How could possibly the chariots not move forward!!! Suddenly one of the chief priests’s had an intuition that it was the longing heart of the Moslem Cobbler devotee that had made the lord stop at his shop. Humbled the priests approached the cobbler & requested him to pull the chariot, tears of gratitude flowed down his honest eyes. & as his devotee gave the rope an enthusiastic tug, the divine procession finally moved forward. What religion does a true devotee have? Which philosophy does he/she follow?? None, None at all. Philosophy comes to play, only when we allow lord to move out of our hearts.
