Guest guest
Namaste Mr Ramesh Iyer, Thank you sincerely for forwarding the message from Richard Shaw Brown at Sacred Objects Group. Please tell him and their group members that description of rudraksha mukhis higher than 14-face is contained in Katyani tantra in Hindi. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I have no idea who the author is nor approx date of publication. All I know is: Katyani Tantra is also known as Katyayani Tantra. It is said by some scholars not to have been published in English or Sanskrit. Others say it was a Sanskrit text that was translated into Hindi (an maybe English). Various parts of the elusive Katyayani Tantra is scattered across many Shrividya works. It is not considered a forgery. Its believed that information about Katyani (the deity) is found in the Karveer-Mahatmya and/or Devi Mahatmyam. I guess if Rama-charit-manas (Hindi) is considered a Vedic literature then Hindi is ??>
