Guest guest
Hi Bala, Jyotish emeralds need to be unoiled, as a rule. A five carat Jyotish quality emerald shall cost you a minimum Rs 55,000 a carat. You are based in Delhi, so you can have gems tested at www.iigdelhi.com. I would like to know the price range of a astrological quality Emerald of that size with you. What are the points one needs to consider while buying a jyotish quality emerald. How to identify that the gem is real and of good quality ie is not heat treated /color enhanced or No artificial filling has been done What is the best color of emerald parrot green or grass green. Pls advice Regards,Bala New Delhi Add more friends to your messenger and enjoy! Invite them now.
Guest guest
Jyotish quality emeralds are impossible to oil because there is no way (no cracks) for the oil to enter the solid (emerald). You cannot oil a jyotish quality gem because liquid will not pass a solid. Five carat Jyotish quality emerald in good color will cost about $2000-$5000 per carat. So if the price was $3000 x 5 = $15,000 or Rs. 755.000. So I do not believe many people can afford this.
