Guest guest
Dear Sir, Minimum weight is not the issue, Your financial means is the issue. Fine jyotish quality rubies cost lakhs of Rs. Can you afford that? There is no sense in getting a " junk " ruby as that will bring ill fortune. Guest guest
It is stated in Shastra: " A ruby, although genuine, should not be worn if it has strong color banding, excessive inclusions within like numerous internal cracks, a sandy appearance, a rough surface, or is dull and lusterless. Anyone using such a flawed ruby, even out of ignorance, will suffer from disease, or loss of fortune. " ---Sri Garuda Puranam: Chap. 70 ---But most people go to astrologers who tell them, (for example) " Wear ruby - 3.22 carats. " The client is not rich, so when he goes to get a ruby all he can afford is junk. And the above verse decries that. It is better to have a fine red spinel or red garnet - 100% better - because a Bad stone is always BAD. Simple! Also, the question of weight, (example) it must be 4.90 cts, or 7.55 cts - etc., is nonsense. There is no shastra on this. Besides, Vedic weight is Ratti, which is different than a carat weight. So it is silly. Bottom line is, the bigger the stronger, SIMPLE. But " Jyotish quality " is all-important. Guest guest
Well this is bit compolicated issue..however there is solution to this..It is not adviceable for some one to use same type of stone all thru out his life.. the selection of stone should be as per particular persos Dasha and Maha dasha.. There is well developed science about use of roots of various herbs taken our on particular muhurat. Roots of herbs are very cheap and there is chance of any flows as we find in stones. I am surprised why no one advices to use herbs instead of stones??
