This site was founded by Shree Lokanath (Mike Magee) whose many

chelas contribute to, and maintain the site and mirror sites

elsewhere. Just the tip of the iceberg here about Natha Lineages:

There are many subsects in the Heterodox Nath tradition. All of them

honor Matsyendranath and Gorakshanath as founders. There are 12

Traditional Natha Panthas (streams). They are not a subdivision

According to the Shri Amrit Nath Ashram website, the 12 Natha Panthi

are as follows:

Satya natha

Dharam natha

Daria natha

Ayi Panthia

Vairaga kea

Rama ke

Kapilani

Ganga nathi

Mannathi

Rawal ke

Paava panth

Paagala panthi

Through the times, there were many more Natha sects that amalgated

into one of the 12 formal Panthas. Examples are the sannyasin sub-

sect of Adinath Sampradaya or Nandinatha Sampradaya.

The Adinath Sampradaya's 12 sub-sects are:

Adinath

Minanath

Gorakhnath

Khaparnath

Satnath

Balaknath

Golaknath

Birupakshanath

Bhatriharinath

Ainath

Khecharanath

Ramachandranath
