Guest guest
This is one of the best explanations of why God allows pain and suffering ... A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: " I don't believe that God exists. " " Why do you say that? " asked the customer. " Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving God who would allow all of these things. " The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt. The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: " You know what? Barbers do not exist. " " How can you say that? " asked the surprised barber. " I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you! " " No! " the customer exclaimed. " Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside. " " Ah, but barbers DO exist! That's what happens when people do not come to me. " " Exactly! " affirmed the customer. " That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! That's what happens when people do not go to Him and don't look to Him for help. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world. " If you think God exists, send this to other people--- If you think God does not exist, delete it! BE BLESSED & BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS !!!!!!! Guest guest
Pain, Suffering, Loss, Fear, Deserving, Disease, Death . . . All the main emotions that are in opposition to Joy, Happiness, Peace! Does God allow these emotions? Or do we each individually (consciously or subconsciously) allow these emotions? Which is the more empowering question? And, is God . . . OUT THERE? Must we go to God? In the very basic aspect of reality - the material, we must go to the barber to get our hair cut, right? We can't just attract our hair to be cut as we would want it cut. Attract? According the most simplistic notion of The Law of Attraction ("The Secret"), what we put ourselves in "the mood" for ("attract") will come to us! In the base material sense, even if I am properly focused and doing all that will attract my desires and wishes to me, my car isn't going to leave the parking stall down the street and come to me when I am ready for it. Nor is my hair going to somehow get properly cut and groomed. These base material desires must be followed by very clear and specific actions of mine (going to the valet, or the barber, as example). Where is God in the base material reality? Perhaps murtis, paintings, a temple? That is when and where we must go to God. The base material reality is also where we will find our fears (loss, suffering, pain, et cetera). In the most primitive of our collective ancestry, there really were large animals (dinosaurs, lions, tigers, et cetera) that were seeking to eat humans. The survival of the human species required that we have a healthy level of fear (or be eaten). Our genetics (again, base material reality) had to develop (mutate) to incorporate that instinctive survival trait that allowed our species to survive and propagate. Until this moment, when we are imbued with very well honed genetics for survival from carnivorous predators. But, the predators that we find today aren't the lions and tigers lurking around our caves. The predators are those that cause us great stress. Cause us? OK, that's another aspect of base material reality - that we blame, and that we place blame OUT THERE. We just see ourselves in this viewer as being thwarted in our regular business of surviving. And, the obstacles that thwart us are "out there". At some point in our individual "spiritual evolution" (Spirit Evolution?), we may suddenly be confronted with the very real question - just exactly who is responsible here and now? That is the road to discovery - self-discovery, through self-reflection. We may soon see that there is no threat to our survival - except our own choices, actions, and the consequences from those choices and actions. We make the choices to act in certain ways - ways that may frighten others away from us, or endear others to us. We take actions that either accomplish our dreams and wishes, or damage and destroy our dreams and wishes. Each of us is here in this "Here and Now" to perform a specific purpose. That purpose is one of LOVE! We each express that LOVE in our own unique way. When we are far enough along in our "spiritual evolution", we have come to ACCEPT and allow our unique expression (career?) of LOVE. It could be said that we are "cooking with gas" - an old American idiom that says we are on fire with passion and easily accomplishing the fruits of our life career. (Cooking with gas was seen at one point as so much better, so much more controlled, as a way to prepare foods to the older method of cooking over a wood or charcoal fire.) At this juncture as our Spirit Evolves, it can be said that we have "connected" with the Spirit Energies in the Universe (beyond just the material plane). We have "gone" nowhere, and yet we have connected with God - the Universal Mind / Spirit Energies. We don't, in this level of reality, go to God. And, God doesn't come to us. God and Spirt are connected and our Spirit is likewise connected. Is that connection the fruition of much evolution, self-reflection and self-discovery, and much "proper" choice and action? Not really. That level of reality is ALWAYS, and HERE and NOW. It's just that we are now conscious of it - connected with consciousness of the very base material reality levels to the very ethereal Spirit realities. So, where are the "evolutionary boundaries" of the level(s) of reality where blame begins and ends? The point ( !!! POINT !!!) where responsibility shifts from "out there" to self-responsibility. The point where we can no longer tolerate saying that a "you" caused my "hurt" - including that YOU we call GOD. So, this begs the "big" question now: in the "super consciousness" state of reality, do we allow suffering and pain to exist? Or, does suffering and pain only exist in the conscious reality of blaming others "out there"? And know this before being quick to answer - all levels of reality co-exist at exactly the same Here and Now. So, we never really "evolve" out of a lower consciousness of reality up to higher levels of reality. We are conscious of those levels of reality that we focus on - the other levels of reality not focused on do not just disappear - they are but "out of view". In pursuing our careers of LOVE, we learn to develop larger viewers, so that we can see more of the levels of reality. And, we can learn the importance and significance of each level of reality. If you were driving a car in heavy traffic, you would want your focus to definitely include the lower base material levels of reality. Or else you wouldn't survive in that reality! Right? So, there it can be seen that all levels of reality have their distinctive importance and significance. And, all are important to our overall survival as human beings (homo sapiens) and as Spirit. So, how is suffering and pain allowed? I think there is plenty in this message to begin some serious analyses of this question.
