Guest guest
it must cleared that i only said impediment. that doesn't put women in bad light. if you are man and seeking liberation then a woman could be an impediment. similarly if a woman is seeking liberation then a man can be an impediment as well to her. so equally the case. the shastras presented before itself however are harsh and maybe the propagation of malicious thought. the bible has similar references that hold the same contradiction so therefore it seems that man has put contradictory messages so that only one who is sattvic or concious enough can decipher it properly. to me this makes sense as that is the key of having great buddhi. i would love to hear peoples' comments especially the women who may have now been utterly offended by my previous rhetoric as well as the delivery of these shastras. sincerely, __________ Raja Gursahani (: 559.474.8576 ,: rajagursahani

Guest guest
Appropriate question: do we at all find the same detailed level of derogatory statements of men in the shastras as a collective gender? Otherwise, we can conclude: Men are superior to women Shastras were written by men who were biased against women Richard Shaw Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Dear Raja, There is no misunderstanding. Well said! Guest guest
Rspd Ole, In his Niti Shastra Chanakya Pandit goes from putting women down to putting them UP, all in the same book. Women should be honored, even by monks (as mother). But Monks are not to associate with women because of their male weakness. Even a monk is born from a mother (women) so Devi is a great potency of God. There is no life without women. Guest guest
namaskar Let me clearly state first of all we have all been men and women in incarnations yes? down through how many millenia? the fact remains in 2008 women are still horribly abused all over the earthplane.at the hands of men.As a woman ( in this incarnation) thats practices yoga is vegan , that does not wear leather or fur that has chosen to be celibate early on unless married being a westerner in this incarnation having dome from a monied family and seen the world i have a right to an educated opinion. and that opinion is men have a serious problem controlling their testosterone levels as a whole and it has always been so. whether they are seeking a spiritual path or not , seeking liberation or to stay in the 84 lakhs. as a whole, it is the problem of mens self control. hence, " women forced to have their feet shriveled so they cannot walk in china women have their sexual organs butchered so they cannot feel sexual pleasure and are in pain , women must cover up everything in public .on and on and on. in every society women suffer at the hands of men. and india has a veryy high rate of forced prostition. i know because i have worked with some rescue groups. so whetehr it is in the koran the old testament the vedas there is without a doubt the very sad truth of mens hands writing sacred texts being coloured with their own sexual issues. and thats one of the reasons paganism took off so strongly women became empowered. india has a strong mother deity culture yet it leaves widows in train stations alone and women are beaten even in the united states> I have many hindu friends here. it would be the everlasting grace of sincere spiritual wisdom to begin in india the laying down of deep spiritual values towards women, regaining the dignity of women, raising the conciousness of men towards respect and empathy divine respect for the mother in all women the sister in a ll women the profound shakti . unless this happens the world will never see peace. unless man recognizes his own feminie self with respect and afford the dignity we all seek whether men or women and that includes everyone making certain the ganges is cleaned up. the part is the whole.if india is the most spriritual country int he world then it has to polish it owns mirror. to conclude: if the vedic text on the unsanctity of women was written basically for spiritual aspiriants to get off the wheel asap to walk the path it shoudl have said so maybe with a codicil or an esoteric bent. but, that was not the case. buddhism also gave a lean towards men every major religion.unfortunately written whteher divinely inspired or not has proven the very same misogony and it has not helped women or even men in the long run ywe can continue to fool ourselves and make excuses but it does not address the very core issue. and neurotic egos do not a good moksha make ______________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing.
