Guest guest
Surdasji, was a initiate of the Pushti Marga, the path of devotion propounded by AcharyaSreshta Vallabha. Upon the specific instruction of Vallabhacharya, he dedicated himself to the service of the Lord at Govardhana. Yesterday, I quoted a prose composed by him, in Braj Bhashya, even though a ass like me can never comprehend it's exact transliteration, but i feel dutybound to give the interpretation; The Chand (Couplet) goes like; Chhaadi Man Hari Vimukhan Ko Sangh, Jake Sang Kumati Upaje, Aur Parat Bhajan Mein Bhang... 1. Khar ko Kahan Aargaja Lepan, Markat Bhushan Ang, Surdas Khal Kaali Kamri... Chadat Na Dujo Rang. 2 Chhaadi Man Hari Vimukhan Ko Sangh.... ___ O Soul Conciousness, desist from the company of those - whose conciousness is not attuned to Hari, or not on the path towards attunement with him... Because when you keep company with such elements your "chitta", becomes exposed to "Vicaras" & your Sadhana/ Daily Routine becomes affected... 1. Surdasji now gives a simili; What if you apply SadalWood Paste on the Donkey (Khar), he in any case would roll on the dust & If you adorn a Monkey (Markat) with the finest of Jewels, he in any case throw them off.... Just as a no new colour can be dyed on a Black Blanket, So Dear Conciousness be mindful of those who are Hari Vimukhan (Antagonist). Because no matter what only they have the capacity to affect you thru Vicaras (sloth) 2. Now arises the question as to what are the qualities of the individual who is Krishna-Chaitanya & who has the potency to infuse Samskaras, into those who are Hari Vimukhan. Such is the greatness of these masters that they remain unaffected by "Vicaras", & have the capacity to convert a Antagonist into Agonist. Only he who is firmly established in Asamprajnata-samadhi has the capacity to do so... Best Wishes Abhishek Now you can chat without downloading messenger. Click here to know how.
