Guest guest
Namate Richardji, Can you shed some light on the advantages of using the main recommended gemstone such as diamond, emerald etc over zircon, tourmaline etc in a talisman? I am asking because I am very attracted to a Venus talisman on your site but the stone is zircon. It is not likely that I would afford a large diamond of the quality necessary although am told I only need a half carat while another says 2 carat. Do you need a larger stone when it is a zircon instead of a diamond. Also can you tell which finger it (Venus Talisman) should be worn on so the right size can be ordered and best metal? Thank you very much! Get easy, one-click access to your favorites. Make your homepage.
Guest guest
Dear DD, Diamond is much harder (more condensed) so a half carat diamond might equal a 2 carat zircon. That is just an estimate (not scientific). In general the only thing that matters is right choice of planetary gem, and fine quality, in both precious and semiprecious. Size of gem depends on your financial means. Guest guest
Hello Richard ji, To the best of my knowledge CZ is much denser than diamond. Its lowest specific gravity is 5.34, compared to diamond's highest SG of 3.53. Best Regards, Jay Richard Shaw Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Dear DD,Diamond is much harder (more condensed) so a half carat diamond mightequal a 2 carat zircon. That is just an estimate (not scientific). Guest guest
Hi Jay, we're discussing NATURAL Zircon (colorless), not CZ which is synthetic Cubic Zirconia. CZ is not a real (natural) gem. Y/s, Richard sacred-objects , Jay Munshi <jaymunshi wrote: > > Hello Richard ji, > > To the best of my knowledge CZ is much denser than diamond. Guest guest
Hello Richardji, Apologies. These days I am gonna kill my self for reading less and understanding more. Coming to zircon which too has a high of SG of 4.80 and low of 3.90. While diamond varies from high of SG for 3.53 to low of SG 3.51 . Best regards, JayRichard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Hi Jay, we're discussing NATURAL Zircon (colorless), not CZ which is synthetic Cubic Zirconia. CZ is not a real (natural) gem. Guest guest
Namaste Jay!!! Natural Zircon has a low hardness of only 7.5. But Diamond is 10 on Mohs Scale, the highest the scale goes is 10. And that is huge difference to Zircon. So Diamond is much more concentrated. Just like Ruby is much more concentrated than red spinel. Y/s, Richard sacred-objects , Jay Munshi <jaymunshi wrote: > > Hello Richardji, > > Apologies. Guest guest
Namaste Richardji, True. Diamond is the hardest stone and 10 on Mohs scale and the beleived best talisman for Venus but to the best of my thinking the strength of the diamond comes due to its molecular structure where one atom is joined to five other atom rendering more strength in lower density. best regards, Jay Richard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Namaste Jay!!!Natural Zircon has a low hardness of only 7.5.
