There are MANY GREAT STORIES from India. But there are also some VERY silly ones

too.

Sri Durga Das Bhatia, late Mayor of Amritsar, told me a story in all

seriousness. He said Guru Nanak was sleeping with his feet facing Mecca. Some

Muslim soldiers ordered him to move. He told them, " I'm too tired, you can move

me " . And as they moved him, Mecca also moved.

Whew!!! It would take MORE than faith to believe that.

Y/s,

Richard

I had heard story that the man was a pandit and the feet were in direction of a Shiva temple. Best, Jay Richard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: There are MANY GREAT STORIES from India. It's a cute story, either way. I just couldn't believe I was hearing it from the

Mayor of Amritsar, an educated man. Jeez! Hehehe!!!

---Yes, SURE! Which was all more interesting as he was not a Sikh, but a pious

Hindu. Personally I think he had MOST faith in Mecca. It was Mecca that was

moving.

LOL! Yeah. Its interesting how reformers like Nanak Saheb are turned into conjurers by beleivers. Best, Jay Richard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: ---Yes, SURE!
