can we get nagamani from cobra of any gender?

sir,can u please tell me whether nagamani can be obtained from snake

of any gender?...can we get nagamani from both male and female cobra's

hood?in kerala, we call male cobra 'Moorkan' and female cobra 'Chera'

Moorkhan is Cobra and Chera is rat snake. So what are the people who are "seriously" asking the questions going to do? Chase after snakes? Then I suggest that you go to Mudumalai which has a large population of King cobras. Just go searching for their nests (easy to identify by the smell). When you reach within 100 feet the King Cobra will come in search of the searcher and then it is easy(If the searcher survives). Just catch the tail and keep pulling till they are tired and try to run away. As they tire they will start spitting out naag mani (as cobra is Naag, king cobra must be Naag raaj).

 

Oh there is another thing to remember. In winter the snakes are very sluggish in the mornings just before sunset. Then they are easy to catch.
