Guest guest
Amritanandamayi Amma's chief American swami disciple (from California whom she calls Neel) mentions an incident in Kerala wherein a guy slid into the temple on his belly. If I remember correctly how the story goes, Ammachi then helped alleviate the problem saying that the man's brother had been bitten by and killed by a snake after having killed one and the brother hadn't completed the correct obsequies and rituals. Thus the Nag was possessing him (the dead man's brother) and doggedly messing with the whole family. And on top of that he was getting problems from the dead brother. She explained that snakes (Nag's) rule over a subtle realm and are displeased when its members are killed or hurt. Personally, I intuitively believe this. I always, even here in Georgia, instruct my kids to never, ever harm snakes of any kind, as I believe it would portend a bad omen. I have heard of many, many instances (and have even experienced it) of doing certain types of Shiva puja, and worship of Divine Mother at my house wherein snakes start to come around the home. This is a very common byproduct of this kind of worship. Actually, there are so many stories of snakes in india protecting holy places and trees and such. Richard ji and our learned members; I am sure you have heard of these things having lived in Mother India for a long time. There is a place in Orissa wherein a nag protects the big huge Neem trees in the forest from illegal cutting. If divine permission is not gotten in order to cut them for deities or what not, a big snake will undoubtedly come out to give you trouble. There is a place in Bengal wherein many thieves have tried to steal valuable consecrated deities in a certain village. As soon as they try, a big Nag who is many years old comes out from under the temple to chase off the would be burglar. So, saying all that to say this, NAGADOSHA does indeed exist on some level. Just as you can chant some certain types of mantra which will enable you to get the blessing of snakes and never get bitten (mantra siddhi of various Shiva mantras), you can also accrue problems (dosh) from not being right with snakes. Guest guest
Dear All King Cobra is considered as Naga Devatha [God of Snakes], It has its own Space / Place called NagaLoka where it does its Kingship. Its a serious crime [DOSHA] if one kills or helps in killing or informs to killing or sees the killed Naga [King Cobra etc] and such person entitles NagaDosha or SarpaDosha , Kalasarpa Dosha.etc... If any one has falls into above criteria who has done/informed/participated knowingly or unknowingly can beg Lord Subramanya [ God of Naga's] to forgive such Sins / Doshas. The only way to clear from such Sin / Doshas is to Visit Shri Lord Subramanya Swamy Temple situated in Subramanya near Mangalore / Puttur which is in Karnataka, from Bangalore it is around 360 - 380 Kms. Get an appointment for getting cleared from such doshas from temple authorities 15 days in advance. it is a 2 to 3 days Pooja. May Lord Subramanya bless you and your family Prosperous and Happly living in this world. From Purana: [story that i have read] Even Lord Parashurama a Saint who is being narrated as 6th in Dashavatara got Parihara [Nullified] from his Sin / Dosha from killing his own Mother by visiting this place. Who took bath in the holy river and got Darshan of Shri Lord Subramanya Swamy. From Local News Papers Recently even Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar had visited this Temple for Nullifying from such Doshas. From Me Even i have visited recently and got parihara from such sins which could have happened knowingly or unknowling. Please go along with your entire family.
