Can nagmani be obtained from only a 100 year old cobra?

Dear Sir,

This is all speculation and myth. It is impossible to say for certain

about such an obscure object. What we KNOW is from Sri Garuda Puranam,

Chap. 69 which doesn't mention about age.

Best wishes,

Richard

Dear All, What i have heard is that Snake can live for 1000 yrs. My Father still says that his Grand Mother has seen such a Snake having Nagamani in its Hood From Grand Mothers Visible words "Only very very old snakes can have Mani and thatss what she has seen it carwls very slowly and spits Nagamani out of its body which emits light from it and from that light Snake will catch its prey and small insects comes near that light so that Snake can have its meal easily then atlast Snake again swallows the Mani again and goes for Safe place Regards Ranga Richard Shaw Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Dear Sir,This is all speculation and myth. I think it must be VERY rare for Naga to have mani.

I been reading the Nagmani thread. Is cobra really the Naga that is being spoken of?

I have seen one that was claimed to be Nagmani but it turned out to be a phosphorescent Ruby.

A lot of people have spent fortunes to have one - and ALWAYS the seller vanishes with millions and all sorts of excuses. I am also aware of murders committed for the mythical object in North Kerala. One of the neat tricks is to have a half sawn red glass marble in a box with an LED below connected by thinner than hair wires and the "exhibition" takes place always in semi darkness.

I think greed begets misery. Period.Menon

Yes! Of Course!

Satrajit worshipped Surya and got the Syamantaka ruby. And for that he was

murdered. But MORE people are murdered in non-nagamani related cases. One case

of murder is only one case in millions.

I have seen real Nagamani. It was no trick. And it was not for sale. I examined

it carefully. It glowed even in any darkness. It looked as described in Sri

Garuda Puranam. That is real. And NOT for sale. I have a non-cobra nagamani, it

is also not for sale. Anyone selling such a thing, how can they prove?

But compared to bogus Lakshmi shank cheating, the naga mani is hardly an issue.

The real issue is anything bogus, including junk gems.

Best wishes,

Richard
