Guest guest
Yes Sir, Naga Mani is real. But most are bogus. I have only seen one (not for sale) in Sri Lanka. Many snakes form organic " mani " in their heads and these are found when the snake is unearthed (in case of old, petrified), or killed or died natural death. But only bona fide " nagamani " comes from cobra hood. They are bright like glowing stainless-steel and glow strongly in any shadow area. The myth has that when a King Cobra reaches 100 (human) years of age it becomes " Itchadhari " (live at will) and these mani are said to come into the mouth of the naga after forming in it's head. The naga uses it for light at night. Such a real one is highly regarded in Shastra as good luck. But where to find? How to prove? And value: PRICELESS. Please do a search for " nagamani " within this group for lots of info and discussions over 2 years. Guest guest
thanks a lot for replying Richard sir.so,if the nagmani is acquired from dead or killed cobra's head will it have the same powers and value as the genuine nagmani got from cobra's hood? sacred-objects , " Richard Shaw-Brown " <rsbj66 wrote: > > Yes Sir, > > Naga Mani is real. Guest guest
Sriman, if a cobra was killed for it's mani I would have mixed feelings about it. It's like Ivory is very auspicious, but ONLY natural death Ivory is auspicious, and this is impossible to determine. So we avoid ivory. But your question calls for the answer that YES, there would be no difference in powers. Guest guest
Please see the attached photo of real Nagamani. I have seen and touched it. Here is a link to more info http://www.agt-gems.com/Book/OtherPearls.html Please don't misunderstand, I'm not against killing snakes out of fear of mortal danger. If a poisonous snake comes around my place I would kill it. I would not worship it as holy. But that's not the same as intentionally hunting and killing a snake out of envy. But ultimately it is an atma that lives in the body of a snake, and while the snake body is dangerous it is still controlled by an atma. In general snakes are untrustworthy to the extreme. Guest guest
thanks a lot for the link that really helped...there is a temple in south india that has Nagamani but the temple authorities have locked it up with various other precious gems so,no one can reach it. sacred-objects , Richard Shaw Brown <rsbj66 wrote: > > Please see the attached photo of real Nagamani.
