Guest guest
Dear Abhi, Namaste!!! This Shalagram was given to me by late Kali Baba of Nepal. He told me it was " aslee Shalagram " and was " Bhagavan. " So I am sure of that. Personally I worship as both Lord Vishnu AND Lord Krishna (and all avatars). More info is given at http://www.agt-gems.com/Book/Salagram.html Best wishes, Richard sacred-objects , Abhishek Dutta <benarsibabu wrote: > > Dear Richard Sir, > > Can you please illuminate the forum as to what is the significance of this particular Shaligram. > > Best > Abhi > > > > Explore your hobbies and interests. Guest guest
Dear Abhi, I want to mention that different shastra and people have called my Shalagram as " Vasudev " , as " Vamana " as " Vishnu " , etc. But this is like water: some call panni, some call Jala, some call Aqua, some water, etc. So WHO is right? They are all names of the SAME thing...so all are right. Best wishes, Richard sacred-objects , " Richard Shaw-Brown " <rsbj66 wrote: > > Dear Abhi, > > Namaste!!! Guest guest
Hare Krishna Mr. RSB ji, Prabhu your Shaligram is Vasudeva as He has very special characteristic where in the Shesha is covering the Shila from one side. This is same has when new born Krishna was taken by His father Vashudev to save Krishna's life from His wife's cruel brother Kansa. So to safe guard new born Krishna from rains and storm Shesha Himself came to the rescue of Krishna while Vasudev was carrying Him and crossing the river. I have a similar Shaligram Shila which you can see thro following link. http://www.shaligram.com/Sacred/AVnarayan.php Thanks and Regards, Haribol, Rajiv Krisna Dasa WWW.SHALIGRAM.COMRichard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Dear Abhi,I want to mention that different shastra and people have called my Shalagram as "Vasudev", as "Vamana" as "Vishnu", etc. But this is like water: some call panni, some call Jala, some call Aqua, some water, etc. So WHO is right?
