Dear Members,

There has been a bit of hate mail deleted concerning misunderstanding the

honesty of Indians. No one has questioned the honesty of Indian nationals. The

reference was made to dishonest customs officials, shell dealers, and some gem

labs. No one is blaming Indians. This problem is just a part of society, not all

of society. Please take it rightly.

Best wishes,

richard

why cannot we have issues of honesty and integrity of caucasian gem dealers, shell dealers, customs officials and other officials also discussed, the same way please, starting from the genocides they perpetrated on non-caucasians, how lands were stolen, people were starved to death to advance their commercial interests, the lies they said and say to advance their interests etc. also discussed? Or is it a taboo subject to be covered by a "covenant of silence"?

People forget that Indians are a proud people and any attempt at attacking them will be met and countered in teh same coin whoever be the attacker.

My point is that there are no saints in this world. It is not just limited to Indian Society but to all societies including Caucasian and african. I would say the malise is larger in Caucasian society which thrives SOLELY on the blood and toil of poor asians and africans and on their raw materials. Let us not start discussing one people ALONE.

It was bad form to have allowed the initial post. When that is allowed, it is only proper that replies are also posted. The first post also was a "hate mail" and I consider, with ulterior motive of promoting some organisation or person.

I will not say anything more. Menon
