Guest guest
Dear Sriman, it seems no one wants to answer your question. Perhaps it is out of fear of disagreement. We know little about this, but there are those who believe and those who reject. I don't know who is right. I personally follow " Graha-Gochar-Jyotish " since 1975. I have no experience with Lal Kitab. But there are members here who know. Perhaps they will speak up... Guest guest
dear friends besides vedic astrology, i studied lalkitab as well but did not answer this query as there are more than twenty groups on lalkitab in alone and more than a hundred websites by lalkitab practitioners. anyway let me give a simple briefing of what this lalkitab is all about. during the british era, once lived a god gifted intuitive foreteller roopchandji in punjab (before separation of pakistan). he used to speak in urdu and wrote a book in urdu giving various simple remedies to be followed even by the illiterate poorest natives in an inexpensive inhouse atmosphere. only because of these simple nature and easy affordability in doing these remedies, this lalkitab gained popularity only in punjab then and in some northern states later. the principles of lakitab with regard to planets is a contradiction to vedic jyotish written by various sages. however, i do recommend the easiest simple remedies of lalkitab as they can be easily done by the poorest person. if one follows vedic jyotish, then he may not bother about lalkitab. since in this group we discuss only holy and sacred objects, if any one desires to find a group on lalitab, simply search lalkitab group in and you would get all the dedicated to lalkitab. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com sacred-objects , Ranganath P <askranga wrote: > > Dear Richard > > Thanks for your reply for my posting. > > I had gone thru that site but it is expensive to get into that, thanks for referring. > > I did go thru other sites and i would like to refer the best one, which i have found till now. > > http://www.starteller.com/powerful-magic-words.html > > Similary, If one can do an extensive research and get simple remedies to make our lives more happy that would be great. > > I am with you all. Guest guest
Dear Sirs, Please forgive my curios mind for it jumps around as a monkey. To me what lal kitab meant was about tona-tuchkas (gujarati). But I did buy a book called the Kali Kitaab out of curosity. The kali kitab was a myth. never existed. it had some astrological commentaries from Ravana Samhita. I wanted to know what treatises actually make up the knowlegde of Vedic Astrology? The only book I ever possesed on the subject was by Sri Bal Gangadhar Rao Tilak and it was volume II so could never quite understand it for it was far beyond my comprehension. The book published in 1800s was handed over to my friend who never bothered to return it. One of my greatest losses of life. But I would be glad to know how vedic astrology is defined. Looking forward to light. Best Regards, JayRichard Shaw-Brown <rsbj66 wrote: Dear Pt ji,Namaste!!! Very nice answer. I was wondering what is the main difference between Lal Kitab and Jyotish? Guest guest
dear richardji lalkitab is invented by a modern man hardly 50 years ago. it has no rasi (zodiac signs) sytem and all it has is only houses (1 to 12) like bhava in vedic jyotish. the exaltation and debilitation of planets and own houses of the panets is different from that of vedic jyotish. also in some varshaphala charts and in some calculations you would find rahu and ketu both in same house while vedic jyotish has a thumbrule of rahu and ketu 180 degrees apart. lalkitab stictly prohibits giving donations or distribution of some items as they would weaken their correlated planets whereas donation and charities must get only merit and positive results as per vedic jyotish. the attribution of birds and animlas to planets is different between lalkitab and vedic jyotish. some remedies like giving jaggery as food to the deadbodies in a graveyard and bringing water from inside a graveyard and keeping it in the house are all just incomprehensible in vedic jyotish. hence i suggest readers not to grope for more in lalkitab due to their so many contradictions. to get quick money and fame, some people in the past two decades have started promoting their own newly invented kali (black) kitab, neeli (blue) kitab, sunehri kitab etc. and one can ignore all these books. vedic jyotish itself is not a proprietary subject as such. during the vedic era i.e. in the yugas or days when vedas were followed, the sages wrote some books on astrology viz. bhrigu samhita, brihat parashara hora shastra etc. and the astrology practiced based on these original books written by the sages of vedica era is loosely branded as vedic jyotish. there are various systems within vedic jyotish like jaimini, varahamihira and other medieval texts which have some contradictions with the original samhitas or shastras. later on we have several modern astroogy systems like krishnamurti paddhati, systems approach and numerous other systems based on various ayanamshas and all give completely different results for the same chart. but as we respect the liberty and freedom of each modern man, all systems are good to their own followers and one can adopt a system whiche he likes most. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com sacred-objects , " Richard Shaw-Brown " <rsbj66 wrote: > > Dear Pt ji, > > Namaste!!! Guest guest
Dear Richard ji, There is absolutely no difference between the traditional Indian Jyotish and the Lal Kitab. The basic concepts and the principles are the same. The difference is in how to interpret them. Well such difference have always existed in the entire world of Indian knowledge, be it Vedas,be it metaphysics,be it religion and so on. The only difference which makes the Lal Kitab look slightly different from the traditional astrology is the 'samadhan'[ solutions] part of it. Most of the time the traditional astrology provides the cause of the malady and stops, it explains the planetary reasons for the malady but seldom provides the solutions to get rid of the malady. Traditional astrology identifies the 'samasya' [ problem ], but seldom provides the 'samadhan'[solutions] for it. The Lal Kitab goes a step further and also provides the remedy for it. The remedies are mostly traditional folk remedies which are based on the collective folk wisdom of the Indian people. The remedies have been in use for centuries and have stood the test of time. The remedies are not expensive, easily affordable and convenient to do. The greatest advantage of the Lal Kitab remedies is that they are secular in nature and can be done by people of all religions. The remedies are not based on mantra, jaap or yagya etc. Lal Kitab doesn't suggest reciting a mantra one lac times [ a hundred thousand times ], nor it suggestes any form of elaborate pooja for 'grah shanti' [ pacifying the planets] Another important thing about the remedies is that they are not Tantrik in nature. The remedies are entirely 'Saattwik' in nature. How effective have been the remedies? The answer is simple. The most active group in the catagory of Vedic astrology is a Lal Kitab remedies group with an average of 900 messages per month. The group gets the highest amount of feed back. Go to the group and type the word feedback in the search, you will get hundreds of messages giving the feed back. No other astrology group on the net gets so much feed back. Sincerely, Varun Trivedi sacred-objects , " Richard Shaw-Brown " <rsbj66 wrote: > > Dear Pt ji, > > Namaste!!! Very nice answer.
