Guest guest
A GEM FOR ALL by Richard Shaw Brown …I have a question that is easy to answer: Does any body want some DEAD thing? Apart from a minuscule percentage of lunatics, we cannot imagine anyone wanting something that is DEAD! Dead is considered inauspicious all over the world, and in every religion. People may say otherwise, but, in fact, NO BODY likes death OR dead things. Looking at an over view of the many factors involved in classifying the healthy or sick condition of any jyotish gems and we see the facts boil down to 4 classes, i.e., 1) Flawless, PERFECT gems 2) Slightly flawed HEALTHY gems 3) Moderately flawed SICK gems 4) Heavily flawed or DEAD gems. Just like our own bodies. If we are disease free then we're perfect; if we have slight sickness then we're basically healthy. If we have many illnesses then we're sick, and if the defect or illness is too extreme then we are forced out of the body, leaving a dead body. So when buying gems, always go for the HEALTHY ones because Shastra says, " If anyone wears a gem with many flaws (even) out of ignorance, then grief, anxiety, sickness, death, loss of wealth and other evils torment them. " --- Sri Garuda Purana: 1.70.19 Jyotish quality gems are not very affordable to poor people. Some people actually write to me and say, " Dear sir, I am penniless! What gem should I wear? " It is absurd! If one is poor then where is the question of Jyotish Gems? Fine quality gems are not cheap. Consider a case where the native is advised to strengthen sun with fine ruby. If one has a little money, like $100 then they could get a clean red garnet as Uparatna for Surya; or if one is middle class then they can afford $1,000 so they should get clean red spinel, another Sun Uparatna; and if one is rich then they can afford $10,000 so they can have a good ruby. So Surya offers a broad choice of gems and prices to suit all budgets. This is true with all the Nava Graha. But in all cases everyone can benefit from different Rudraksha beads. As Lord Mahadev is greater than all the Grahadevas combined, so is His Rudraksha able to counter bad planets (unlike gems which simply magnify the planet, for better or worse). Rudraksha is also a " gem " and could be considered as the gem for all... NOTE: If a man in penniless then what is the question of " gems " ?
