Dear Sriman,

We all here in this forum love elephant pearls and the other eight

pearls. But proving them is difficult, even for science. Disproving

them is quite easy. I'm a gemologist, and if you show me a stone or

pearl or ivory pearl, then I accept it is whitish round THING. Ok, then

we start testing, and reduce the possibilities... neti neti!!! If it is

nothing known to man, then sure, why not an " elephant pearl! " Still,

that is not proving it on a level where you can ask money. Once you ask

Rs 10/- then you must prove it. As to the following:

1) What is it composed of?

2) What it isn't?

3) What it is (elephant pearl?)?

4) What is it's use (power?)

5) How rare is it?, compared to

6) How much demand is there?

---Knowing ALL the above points to conclude that it could ONLY BE an

Elephant Pearl, then the question of monetary value... what if an

elephant pearl weighed one oz... so how does that compare to an oz of

pure gold???

I believe I have a petrified elephant pearl in our exhibit, but because

it cannot be identified, even in New York, so I can't sell it. Nor can

I even give it away for free and telling it's a real gaja mani. So in

our exhibit we have the " item " as an illustation of a Gaja Mani. It is

not available for one million dollars nor for free... because I cannot

PROVE IT. And I'm a Gemologist!

BTW: Can you send us a photograph and other information on your " item "

for consideration of all the members here... Thanks in advance!

Best wishes,

Richard
