Guest guest
Dear Agentofrp, Botanical name of the 'Palash' tree is Butea monosperma (Family : Leguminosae or Papilionaceae ). It gives bright red coloured flowers which are velvety in appearance. Plant produces tripinnate leaves, i.e. three leaflets on a leaf stalk like in case of sacred tree 'Bael', which is offered to the Lord Shiva. The plant flowers in the summer season and during flowering there are no leaves on the plant except flowering. The plant Butea monosperma is therefore commonly known as 'Jungle Flame' or 'Flame of Forest' and looks beautiful. Butea monosperma is a tree species. It is believed that Butea monosperma also produces snow white flowers. However, the variety producing white flowers is extremely rare. Many of the botanist believe it as a myth. However, there are few botanist who claim that they had seen the plant. There is another species Butea superba which is a woody climber. This species produces light yellowish-orange coloured flowers. It is believed that the Butea plant producing white flowers has Tantric properties to get Tri-Kal Gyan (knowledge). Thanking you and with best wishes, Chandrashekhar Phadkeagentofrp <agentofrp wrote: i want to know about kalp vrich tree white monosperma tree.safeed palash tree found in india Here’s a new way to find what you're looking for - Answers
