Dear friends,

Namaste!!! Two YEARS ago we started the Sacred Objects forum, and in

all that time we have only 680 members. Not many people are interested

in divya-vastu-vidya.

But just 2 MONTHS ago I started a page for my 1966 Rock Band, The

Misunderstood, at

http://www.myspace.com/themisunderstood1966

And in those two short months we have almost 1000 members who have

listened to our songs over 2,700 times.

Many people are interested in MUSIC. My band was " spiritual message "

Rock and Roll. And we would have been the biggest success in musical

history, but I got drafted into US Army for killing in VietNam. So I

refused to kill and escaped Boot Camp and went to India, where I hid

from the Army for 12 years, until in 1979 USA gave amnesty and I went

back and cleared my name. But it was too late for the band. Luckily we

RECORDED our music - so it will last forever. Currently we have 4 album

CDs on the world market of our old recordings even after all these

years since 1966.

So the conclusion is : ROCK N ROLL WINS!!!

Best wishes,

Richard

>dear richard,we are all glad to hear about your success with your music.

however i beg to differ on your comment about ROCK N ROLL WINS.

R N R has a mass market following but if you think that your music has

been inspiring people to purify and relentlessly search for realisation,i

will accept the comment.

with dharma teachings it is not quantity that is important.if thru this

group even one or two people have been inspired to go deeper into the

search and realisation of sublime truth, which is most probable, then from

the aspect of the divine the divya-vastu-vidya group will ultimately bear

forth much good karma for you and in relationship with your life's destiny

is a shining light.

i guess that you already know the importance of such a dharma group and

in a mundane world where rock and roll is all too common, the need for

dharma discussion is of great importance.

so thanks for all the effort you have made with this group ,and i'm sure

all really appreciate your relentless effort, even tho the numbers may only

be small.

sincerly

terry

---Dear Terry,

Namaste!!! Yes, of course!!! I was only joking... it was just a question of

popularity.

Long ago John Lennon said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus, and the sad

truth is that IS the truth. Of course material matters will always be more

popular within the material world. Krishna says one in thousands has interest in

dharma, and that is also true. So of course there is no comparison between

Matter and Spirit.

Still, my band was not singing love songs, we were propounding Buddhism and

Hinduism through our songs, such as Children of the Sun, I Unseen, My Mind, Find

the Hidden Door, etc., which were all spiritual message songs. Kids listen to

what the good bands have to say, and our message was Self Realization and anti

war. The US government HAD to stop us because we were in London giving

interviews against the Vietnam War and against gross materialism. So they

drafted ME into the Army (by force) and ruined the band.

I was vegetarian, and anti war, specially anti Vietnam war, which was

disguisting and pure aggression. So when I couldn't get released, so I escaped

from Boot Camp and went to live in India, as a fugitive, for 12 years. They

looked but never caught me. It's a real adventure being made into a movie coming

up. After 12 years the US Govt gave amnesty to all Objectors who were fugitives,

and I returned in 1979 to clear my name. But it was too late for the band.

Luckily we RECORDED our music, for all time.

Best wishes,

Richard
