Guest guest
Shastras have said very little about astrological gems, but one thing that Shastra always lays stress on is " Good " (amala) quality gems only. It stands to reason that a bad quality gem will give a bad result, even if the ruling graha is anukul to the native... this is confirmed by shastra that bad stones bring bad luck, always. Such as stated in Sri Agni Puranam, chap. 246, slokas 7 & 8: " A gem free from all impurities and radiating its characteristic internal luster should be looked upon as an escort of good luck; A gem which is cracked, fissured, devoid of luster, or appearing rough or sandy, should not be used at all. " So if bad stones are evil!? then what may be said of " GOOD QUALITY " gems, and their always giving good results!?? It's easy... Good quality = good results Bad quality = bad results So the matter of quality is of primary importance in Planetary Gemology. This is my opinion (and also foremost focus of Shastra on " gemology " ) as well as a generalization. Best wishes, Richard
