Dear All,

While searching the web for " Sindhu " I came across this posting by

Richardji regarding the references to Valampuri in the scriptures.

Yes there is a reference to Dakshinavarti Shankha in the Sri Chakra

Pooja as given in the Parashurama Kalpa Sooktam. It is in the

section " Samanyaarghya vidhi " – worship of the shadkona – and reads

as follows:

" Touch the yantra with a flower, place a right handed Sankha with

its base on it, fill the Sankha with pure water, put a drop of milk

in it…. "

Unfortunately I don't have the Sanskrit version of the Parashurama

Kalpa Sooktam. What I have is the Sri Chakra Pooja translation by

Amritanandaji. However his Sri Chakra books are translations of

Parashurama Kalpa Sooktam. So if anyone in this group can find

Parashurama Kalpa Sooktam Sanskrit version you'll find it. Or you

can contact Amritanandaji > devipuram

I am sorry that for quite sometime I have not visited or posted

anything in this group.

I was neck deep in work with two of my long cherished projects.

I have just completed the 1st one – all the 4 Vedas complete in MP3.

Page making and editing of, 200 pages and more than 1GB of mp3 files

was a back breaking work but in the end it gave a sense of

satisfaction. You can listen to all 4 Vedas from

http://www.astrojyoti.com/vedamp3.htm

The second project which has taken off after two years of relentless

effort is the printing of Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna's immortal

message, in Braille script for the blind people. We are printing one

with Sanskrit verses and Hindi translation and another with English

transcription and commentary. These will be sent free of cost to all

the recognized blind schools and blind organizations in India and

given freely to any blind person interested.

You'll be surprised to know that till now there were no Braille

script scriptures or stotras for the blind people of India to read

and learn. Adhyatmik Chetana Samiti is the first organisation which

has undertaken this task about 2 years ago. Right now it is almost

a 2 man project. Pt. Ram Kumar Sharma, who is a Sanskrit teacher at

the School for the blind, New Delhi, looks after putting together

the Devanagari script, editing the Braille composition, printing and

distribution of the booklets. I look after the fund raising and

publicity.

So far we have printed and distributed feely the following:

Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra, Lalita Sahasranama Stotra, Shiva

Sahasranama Stotra, Hanuman Chalisa, Sundara Kanda, Durga Chalisa,

Lakshmi Asthakam, Lakshmi Astottara Shatanaama Stotram, Sri

Sooktam, Aditya Hrudayam.

We are deeply indebted to a lot my clients and many well wishers,

including several in this group, who gave us moral and financial

help.

I have collected a few more interesting items, which include a

beautiful Sudarshana Saligrama, a Narmada Shivalinga and some

Rudrakshas – all with OM shapes on them. I have uploded a picture to

the photos section in this group. You can see from >

With best wishes
