Guest guest
Dear Swamies, Swami Saranam. This year, our group Lord Ayyappa Sangam, New Delhi started the holy trek from Erumeli on 14th December evening and reached sannidhanam on 16th December evening. We had a grt darshan of Lord Ayyappan on 16th evening around 8 pm. As we started the final trek from pampa and were crossing neelimala, it started raining. On 17th morning we performed the nei abhishegam and again had a great darshan. We started the descent to pampa on 17th and then we visited Monkombu Bhagawathy amman temple, muttukal bhagawathy amman temple in Allapuzha and then we went to Kuluthupuzha, Aryankavu and then Sankarankoil, Kumarankoil before culminating in pushaabhishegam in Achenkoil where we thanked Lord Ayyappa for all the favours and for a similar experience year after year and then we removed the tulasi manimala. We had about 7 kanni swamies including 2 kanni maalikapurams in our group. It is very nice to see that there is a bridge across Azhutha river and also there is railings in karimala descent near the rock where the way is slightly confusing as the descent becomes like a fork. Also, there are railings on the neelimala including the rope where there are no railings thereby helping in holding to the rope while climbing. All said and done, it was a nice expereince and looking forward to a similar one and divya darshan year after year for all the devotees visiting sabarimala. Guest guest
Dear Mr.Venkatesh Really nice to hear about your Yatra and the details you have provided in your mail. I was in Sanidhanam on last Tuesday and got the opportunity of performing 'Pushpabishekam' to our Ayyappan & Maligapuram. In the last two years lot of developments in Pamba and in Sanidhanam route. But it is nice to hear about developments like providing " railings in karimala descent near the rock where the way is slightly confusing as the descent becomes like a fork ". Without occupying / destroying the forest, doing this kind of works will be a great thing for Swamis. In 2007 we went through 'periya padhai'; at that time we have not seen a bridge over Azhutha river. Now they constructed a permanent bridge in Azhudha??? If yes, the 'Estate goondas' will start eating the Azhutha hill too.... Performing Malar Pooja in Achankovil is also Great. I know about Sankarankovil, can you tell more about KumaranKovil? Are you referring about 'thirumalai kovil' near tenkasi (on the way to Achankovil) ? Really your mail is informative. Guest guest
Dear Mr Jayakumar,This Kumarakoil is near Thakkalai near Nagerkoil. Refer this URL : http://murugan.org/temples/kumarakoil.htm                       http://www.kkdirectory.com/Tourist/kumarakoil.html This temple is situated in a small hillock. In the sanctum sanctorum, you can darshan a very tall muruga vigraham(almost 9 feet, i was told). It was a very nice temple in a small village.Near to Kumarakoil, there was a small amman koil called " Melangodu - Akka-Thangachi koil " - there Shenbagavalli amman & Isakki amman are the main deities. Near to Kumarakoil, you have Padmanabhapuram palace to visit as a tourist attraction.Swamy Saranam. " A Winner is not the one who never fails, But the one who never quits " .Thanks & Regards.
