TDB had shortlisted Kollam-based Elite India Exports owned by a

Muslim entrepreneur for " preparation and supply " of the aravana

payasam at Sabarimala, overlooking three others who had bid lower for

the contract.

 

The board has now sought the high court's permission, which is

mandatory under the rules, to proceed with its decision.

 

" It's nothing short of a scam and shows the unholy nexus between the

board officials and traders who are targeting the shrine for

commercial reasons, " alleged Kummanan Rajasekharan, who heads a

conglomerate of Hindu groups.

 

In its affidavit to the HC, the board merely said it held

negotiations with the four lowest bidders at the end of which Elite

was chosen. The party which bid lowest was not considered as

according to TDB, it was related to a blacklisted firm.

 

" But there is no explanation on why the two others were left out, "

said Rajasekharan. A senior board official, meanwhile, admitted to

TOI that something was fishy in the entire matter and hoped the HC

would set things right.

Looks like Kerala govt. is determinded on its agenda to destroy Hindu

religion in teh state. A few simple questions :

 

1) Isn't it the natural right of the Hindus to get the economic

benefits of Hindu pilgrimage activity? Will the govt. ask Wakf board

to hire Non Muslims as its employees / heads?

 

2) A Muslim's faith tells him that image workship is a sin and those

worhip in temples are kafirs. If such persons are asked to prepare

offerings for temple, what mindset will they have while preparing

it? As per the Hindu tradition, the person making Prasadam is

expected to maintain physical/ mental purity and is expected to make

it with love and devotion.

 

3) How can we be sure that the " Payasam " will not contain pieces of

Halal cut meat... or even poison aimed at finishing off kafirs?

 

Ayyappa devotees and other Hindus, specifically Keralites, voice your

strongest protest.

Aravana Scam- Devotees will block Jihadi's Aravana plant

Kochi: " There is no point in talking secularism in Sabarimala. The

temple rituals are performed according to Hindu texts and Hindu

beliefs. Aravana is to be made by Hindus, for our God. Government

shall not prove their secularism in temple matters " , told Kumanam

Rajasekharan while adressing the press conference to expose the

Aravana scam in Sabarimala.

 

 

 

Hindu Aikya Vedi alleged that, Devaswom Board's decision to award the

contract to Mr.Shanavas of Elite Food Products for the supply of

Aravana, involves corruption to the tune of crores of Rupees. On

these grounds, HAV demanded the resignation of fraudulent TDB

President & Members who are involved in this scam.

 

 

 

TDB awarded the contract to 4th highest bidder ignoring the 1st ,2nd

and 3rd. According to TDB, the company who submitted lowest quotation

is black-listed. Therefore they jumped to the 4th, conveniently

forgetting those in 2nd and 3rd postition.Mr.Shanavas was specially

invited to TDB office and asked to reduce the price per tin to

Rs.5.90 each. TDB has breached the Central Vigilance commission's

instructions by ignoring the 2nd lowest bidder, while hurrying to

favour their patrons. The administration has failed even to check

whether M/s Elite Food Products has the capacity to manufacture one

tin of Aravana at least. .For the the Communist who are in the helm

of TDB, Sabarimala is also a means to swindle crores to their party

office like RUBCO

 

 

 

Sri Kummanam warned the government that, if Mr.Shanavas is permitted

to manufacture aravana, Ayyappa devotees will block the Aravana plant.

 

 

 

Sri.Kummanam mentioned that similar to the 'annadanam' being

conducted in Sabarimala, several Ayyappa Trusts and Bhajanasamithis

are ready to distribute Aravana Payasam to the devotees free of cost.

 

 

 

It shall be remembered that, award of contract to Shanavas happens,

when attempts are being made for the trade-mark registration of

Aravana payasam with M/s Kuwok(owned by a Muslim) of Singapore. There

are speculations on the involvement of Singapore party in TDB's

decision to award the contract to Elite Food Products. In 1999 there

was an attempt by vested interests to sabotage the name and quality

of sacred Aravana by spreading rumours of finding 'rat tail 'in it.

Three years ago, there was an unusual fire near the Aravana plant in

Sabarimala. None of the police reports on these incidents have been

published by the government of Kerala.Sri Kummanam demanded to take

strict action against the culprits involved in the above incidents.

 

 

 

Since the number of days for Sabarimala season is very less,it will

not be possible for any of the contractors to supply one crore tins

of Aravana even if TDB awards the contract at this moment. There are

no plants in India which can manufacture 70000 containers in a day.It

is pity to note that, there has been no contractors since May 2007

for the supply of Aravana payasam.

 

 

 

Shri.Babu, secretary of HAV was also present at the press conference

held at Kochi yesterday.
