Many special poojas will be offered to Devi Durga on the nine day's Navarathri period. The Saraswathi Pooja, Pooja Vaippu (worship of books) and Vidyarambham (beginning of learning for children) have also been planned on the Vijaya Dashami day (21-10-2007) at the temple complex. All are requested to participate in the programmes and make it a grand success. The special poojas during NAVARATHRI 2007 are as follows. 1. Usha Pooja 7. Bhagya Sooktha Pushpanjali 2. Ucha Pooja 8. Mangalya Sooktha Pushpanjali 3. Chandanakkappu 9. Sree Sooktha Pushpanjali 4. Niramala 10. Ishta Sooktha Pushpanjali 5. Devimahatmya Pushpanjali 11.Tri sati Pushpanjali 6. Kanakadhara Pushpanjali 12. Syamala Dantaka Pushpanjali For information on the purpose and benefit of the special poojas and its advanced booking, please contact temple committee member; The other highlights of the NAVARATHRI 2007 are Parayanam of Devi Mahatmyam, Devi Bhagavatham and Soundarya Lahri Bhajan N.B. Individuals or groups desirous of singing/Bhajan at the temple complex may please contact the temple Committee members. THOSE WISH TO PARTICIPATE IN POOJA VAIPPU IS REQUESTED TO BRING THE BOOKS ETC. TO THE TEMPLE ON DURGASHTAMI DAY.THE BOOKS SHALL BE WRAPPED AND PROPER IDENTIFICATION MARK AHALL BE THERE.IT SHOULD BE HANDED OVER TO THE COMMITTE BY 0500 PM.
