One thing i know is 41 days prior ( i.e when you start your penance) you need to water and pray a Small Coconut plant ( also called thengu) - which needs to be carried / and planted at Sabarimala. the thing which is questioning me is: Their is something called as "Mudrawadi" - which a person is supposed to make and carry it along with him on his 18th year and it is taken inside the temple and kept besides the virgaham - and returned back to devotee. Now what lenght ? which wood to be used ? 18 silver rings ? any specific design ? etc... I would like to have info. from someone who is senior - who know what actually is to be done.
