Guest guest
FREEDOM-------- the courage to be yourself..... THE TRUE FREEDOM IS SPIRITUAL. dear blessed ones, blessed love, hope u all r in peace n'bliss.one more year from our life is going to be minused, leaving a DEEP WOUND, A BIG SCAR ON OUR HEARTS/ SOULS.the scar of terrorism, destruction of human capital as well as physical capital.we all expressed our concerns through sentiments, emotions and prayers for dead ones.and this is all about outer world.but we all r fullof fear & insecurity. and this is endless.one needs freedom. we all talk about it and aspire for it through good money, beautiful relations...but! true freedom has nothing to do with the outside world. true freedom is not political, not economic; it is spiritual.political freedom can be taken away at any moment ; economic freedom can disappear just like a dew drop in the early morning sun, they r not in yr hands. and that which is not in yr hands can not be called true freedom.true freedom is always spiritual.it has something to do with yr innermost being , which cannot be chained, handcuffed or put into a jail. yes ! yr body can suffer all these things, but yr soul is intrinsically free. you do n't have to ask for it , and u don't have to struggle for it. it is already there, this very moment. if u turn inwards ,all chains, all prisons , all kind of slavery disappear-- and there r many. freedom is just only one; slaveries r many-- just as truth is only one, lies can be thousands. what exactly is the innermost substance of freedom ? -- that u r free from the past, that ur free from the future. u do not have memories binding u with the past, dragging u always backwards-- that is against existence ; nothing goes backwards. and yr freedom comes also from imagination, desire, longing-- they drag u towards the future.neither the past exists nor the future exists.all that u have in yr hands is present. and one who lives in the present , un- burdened of past & future , knows the taste of freedom. there r no chains -- chains of memories, chains of desires. these r the real chains which bind yr soul and never allow u to be the moment that is yrs. what is my own experience , i can not see that one can ever be free without a MEDITATIVE MIND.in india what is known as paradise as known as moksha. moksha means " freedom " . paradise does not mean freedom, paradise comes from a Persian root, PHIRDAUS, which means " a walled garden " . but do not forget that it is a walled garden ; it may be a garden, but it is a prison. the biblical story says that god became annoyed with ADAM & EVE and threw them out of the garden of Eden. into what? where ? if u ask me , this was a curse that was hiding the greatest freedom , the greatest blessing. ADAM & EVE were let out of the prison , and that was the beginning of humanity. now the whole sky and the whole earth was theirs, and it was up to them what to make of it.it is unfortunate that they have not been able to create a free world. each nation has again become a walled prison -- not even a walled garden. people have money, and the money becomes their fetter. people may have prestige , and the prestige becomes their fetters. it seems whole humanity has been improving on how to make better chains , but even if a chain is made of gold , it is still a chain. freedom on the outside is just the politicians ' continuous deceiving of the whole humanity. " freedom is yr individual affair. it is totally subjective. if u have thrown out all the rubbish of the past and all the desires and ambitions for the future , this very moment u r free --- just like a bird on the wing , the whole sky is yrs. perhaps even the sky is not the limit. on the eve of this x-mas-2008 i wish u great freedom. i wish u all peace , all bliss all love on the earth. WISH U MERRY X-MAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL . luv, sw. maa in the service of godliness, with blessed love, shree swami maa , india
