Kini,

Let us focus on the similarities; not on the differences.

I am well aware of the connotation and pronunciation of the words Krishna and

Christ.

There still are similarities. Just because Krishna appeared 5000 years ago in

India in another culture and in another language than Jesus Christ or Buddha,

does not mean that they are different in soul. They all three were Realised

Saints, heavenly Messengers from God all there is and walking with God Himself.

Now, I only pointed to the similarities of the names Krishna and Christ as to

characterize both Godlike individuals.

Have a try to pronounce Christ (Christos) in the Sanskrit way. Then you will

notice again the similarity.

And yes, the Christ is a title. Does that make any difference in their souls,

kini?

Was Krishna not also an anointed One? Does it make any difference between those

two saviours?

At last: I am not a scribe, and I am definitely not interested in hairsplitting

about words or connotations. I am much more interested in the soul of each

person who has such a powerful potential to become Holy. Both Krishna and Jesus

the Christ were the living Examples of this potential and both taught and

pointed to the Way up to the blessing of God.

Unfortunately it is the focus on the differences and separation which has

brought mankind but suffering and pain during its ramble on Earth. We all should

focus upon the similarities of the people regardless of their external

characteristics like culture, language and skin colour, and even their different

religions. The people of all nations are children of man with the potential to

become children of God.

Johan,

Point taken. Some of them at least. But I do not

agree with your statement " They all three were

Realised Saints, heavenly Messengers from God all

there is and walking with God Himself. "

Hindus believe that Krishna was an avatara of Vishnu

the Supreme Godhead. Krishna is worshipped as God

Himself. Krishna Himself says this in the Bhagavad

Gita. For eg. please read chapter 7 - Jnana-Vijnana

Yoga and Chapter 10 - Vibhuti Yoga.

I will reproduce a paragraph from a book I have

written and published.

***

Let us look at this verse from the Vedas –

" OM poorNamadah poorNamidam poorNaad poorNamudachyatE;

poorNasya poorNamaadaaya poorNamEvaavashishyate " .

" That is Whole - This is Whole - What has come out of

the Whole is also Whole; When the Whole is taken out

of the Whole, the Whole still remains Whole " .

.... From the above verse we have to understand that

there is absolutely no difference between an avatara

of God and God himself. They are one and the same and

have the same powers even though some of the avataras

do not fully exhibit their Omnipotence. "

As regards Christ, I am not an expert in Christianity.

But Jesus Himself has said in the Bible many times

that God is His father, He and God are one etc ......

eg. John 14:6-9 and John 10:30
