Some people say that they are medium for these saints and cheat the people by

telling that they are directed to say the things as per the directives of these

saints. they misguide the people who believe them and get lost later. one should

be careful of these people as i am one of the persons who got affected by him as

my family member believed this medium.

Dear Kiran Garu and Shri Gopi Krishna Garu,

It is really an interesting and informative exchange that we are privileged to

see on the relevance of worshipping Babas and Gurus.  I think Shri Kiran raised

some valid points in the present day context.  As all of us agree, the Hindu

religion offers great teachings in order for the people to learn from them to

become better individuals contributing to overall societal growth.  Our great

scriptures also teach and guide people to lessen their material desires and look

inwards for self-improvement and progress in the spiritual path for eventual

moksha.

However, in today¢s world, more than ever, people are after achieving material

comforts and desires as people tend to get recognized only with regard to their

material possessions and achievements. In this background, people want to keep

their material success and money forever at whatever cost.  Thus instead of

seeking spiritual progress, they search for gods/gurus where, they believe,

their material demands are fulfilled.  I feel that the Sai Baba Movement is also

becoming one such movement.  Also in most of the temples, the management

deliberately introduced various rituals, dikshas etc. in order to elevate the

status of the deity in order to give a fillip to the incoming traffic of

devotees to the temple that would ensure good commercial spin offs.  People are

getting vexed with this development which dilutes the sanctity of the devotional

place. Also, the pursuit of material wants prompts these people to switch over

from one deity to another,

according to the current trend.  This is what, I think, Kiran garu was pointing

out.  The true spiritual seeker, however, would not fall in this trap and

instead would create his own bond with the Almighty.

I remember having read in ¡Shirdi Saibaba Charitra¢ that Saibaba himself told

his followers that if they are followers of some other religion, then they

should truly follow that path only and attain spiritual bliss from that fold

only. He discouraged them from switching over to other gurus.  Thus, we should

try to understand and follow our scriptures and teachings, which as all

acknowledge and adjudge as the best in the world.

Also, in this regard, I would like to sincerely congratulate Shri Raghav garu

and Shri Gopi Krishna garu for their outstanding efforts in consistently

providing invaluable information through the TBP for the true seekers. It is

really very kind of them to carry out this work in spite of their certainly

busy careers.

Thanking you,

K.N. Bhaskara Rao
