Jayanti of Lord Sri Guru Dattatreya's Father Sri Atri Maharshi

I wish to inform a happy news to you all that the Jayanti of Lord Sri

Guru Dattatreya's father Sri Atri Maharshi falls on 6th November ie.

on thursday which has several importance in the way of

 

a. Thursday - being very signifance to the Lord Sri Guru Dattatreya

b. Asthami Thidi - on a asthami thidi Sri Guru Dattatreya will be

pleased on who performs Sri Anagha Vratam.

c. Sri Atri Maharshi - One of the Seven Rishis (saptarishis, a seer

of the Rig veda and also the father of the Sri Guru Dattatreya.

 

We are celebrating birthdays to our parents, who has given physical

body to us by way of special poojas / abishekams to the lord, etc.

 

This is the high time to all of us that we remember Sri Atri

Maharishi who is so sacred and punyapurusha for the being the father

of the Lord Sri Guru Dattatreya. My request to you all the we all

remember Sri Atri Maharishi and perform special prayers for the

benefit of all the needy and to shower his divine blessings on all of

us and other creatures in the entire universe.
