If it inspires some of you to write some good commentaries on the writing there, it will be further learning. http://kamakshi16.tripod.com/datta.html In fact, I had requested Sri Sriram to write about Sage Atri and Anasuya quite sometime back. Sri Dattatreya sleeps in Mahura (200 Kms from Nagpur in Maharashtra) - Mahurgadh 2. Resides on Sahyadri Hills - sahyadri (place - ???) 3. Takes bath in Ganges in Varanasi - Varanasi 4. Performs Achamana in Kurukshetra - Kurukshetra 5. Applies Bhasma in Dhoot Papeshwar (in Maharashtra) - Dhoot Papeshwar 6. Performs Sandhya in Karnataka - ???? (may be gokarna) 7. Performs mAdhyAhnika in gANigapur - Gangapur , karnataka 8. Bhiksha in Kolhapur - kolhapur , Maharastra 9. Wears Tilaka in Pandarapur - pandarapur , maharastra 10. Eats the Bhiksha in Panchaleshwar (near Pune) - Panchaleshwar , maharastra 11. Drinks water from river Tungabhadra - may be mantralayam(in AP) 12. Rests in Girnar - Girinar in gujarath 13.
