Guest guest
Dear Sridhar Garu,1. Naama smarana when you are on the job, or in the kitchen or while walking or travelling: is there any taboo, that one should not wear shoes or slippers, while doing these chores and reciting the names of Datta. Do you breath while on job, kitchen, walking or travelling? Is there any taboo for breathing? or should one breathe while one is barefooted?--Hope this answers your query!2. Whether a mantra, like "Om dram Om Guru Dattaya namah", can be recited silently walking on the road or travelling (with shoes or chappals on the feet). Yes this too can be recited, however this is a deeksha mantra so two things have to be kept in mind.1. Get initiation(deeksha) for it2. Sit and do atleast one round near the puja altar everyday, sametime, same place And then you can do the mantra anytime, anywhere and in any manner you want. The effect will be tremendous.3. For females, is the naama smarana, forbidden during the monthly periods? Should they stop reading even Sai Charithra??Namasmarana is not forbidden. However, if they want to participate in Bhajans in a group, it is not advicable. They must pay heed and respect nature and not recite Saisatcharita too during those days.I have dealt with these issues in my old postings, please peruse them.4. How to instill and propagate Datta Bhakthi among youngsters, particularly college students? The culture prevalent, as you might know well, is to join a prestigious professional college after 10+2. To get into such college, a student has to work hard, join coaching institutions, forget about entertainment etc., Then they join the college, initially they feel like relaxing after the struggle for getting admission. A new place, new set of friends, freedom from parents (no monitoring, financial freedom) and the flexibility in education system, which allows freaking out and studying one week or day before the exams - all these events throw the student's disciplined style of life out of gear. After the 3rd year, the scramble for placements, aptitude tests, Group discussions and interviews. After getting placement, again a chain of parties. Then comes the struggle for writing GRE or GMAT or CAT . After the scores arrive, the application process and landing in the USA. After getting adjusted to the new environs, then proving themselves that they are good or better than other students. Extra inputs from the students' side in the US Graduate schools and then job etc., I too have come through that grind and recently cleared my GMAT.Iam not as old as you think sir.(In my late twenties). Im staudying here at Newyork for MBA.Am I not doing something. Hope is not lost. Yugadharma keeps changing but God is forever present.Kaliyuga,dwapara,treta,krita--God is all the same, people do keep getting moksha even in this Kaliyuga with all its atrocities and sins. The Brahman keeps moving kalachakra-Kalah khadathi sarvam(time eats everything). For onething, let these youngsters enjoy, then let them suffer, then let them experience a miracle which is God. As a school kid, I used to do stunts on my bike, but now? Iam here studying an MBA in USA. I myself can't believe how the wheel of time moves.Hope is not lost, the mission of Dattatreya is intertwined with this Kaliyuga. I will hereforth give more and more postings on spirituality from my heart., from the texts, from what I know, from my Guru, from God Himself. For the God lies in you and in those youngsters whom you portray as decrepit.May the Datta in them flourish. Let them enjoy sir, one day they too will be near God.Dattatreya loves all!!Shreeram Balijepalli
Guest guest
Dear Shreeramji, I must congratulate all the members of the group, for being part of this group, being in the same stream, being a devotee of Lord Datta. This is my first email , I try to read all mails from our group. But today when I read this particular reply from Shreeramji , I could not hold my self back. That's simply Excellent , too good. The sentence " Datta lies in you " says it all. We all are his part, we are one soul. May this Guru Pournima gives us Best gift of our life. Thats only him (Guru) who will help us realize the truth. Please keep good work going. Thanks, Vaibhav --- para_anuloma <para_anuloma wrote: > > > Dear Sridhar Garu, > > 1.
