Brother, Good to see the publication of Sri Dattatreya Charitram. I would like to order 1 dozen (12) copies of the book. Please send the 12 books in one single packet to my Vizag address. I will send you a SBI cheque or WU money for the same. Let me know the total cost and I will send you the amount. I intend to donate 8 or 10 copies of the book to priests-brahmins during my India visit. Elders tell me that it is very holy to give SSC/GC or any Datta book to anyone. I am all packed up mostly and getting ready for my India journey in about 2 weeks. Please dont take my words in a different way.Just wanted to inform you.Nothing

else was my intention in the mail.

What you are going to do is a very holy and good job. I am very happy to see

this kind of mail. But i have two doubts about your dana.

1. If you give these books as dana to brahmins-priests can you give assurance

that they are going to read this book ??

2. At least will they maintain this book in holy way?

Actually GC (Guru Charitra) is the knowledge about guru. All Datta bhaktas

will feel it as Dattatreya and we have to feel like we are touching the feet of

dattatreya while reading this book.

Another thing SSC(Shirdi Sai Charitra) is like a commentray about the GC. So

SSC is equal to GC. Even one should feel like they are touching the feet of Sri

Shirdi Sai Baba while reading this book.

If a person is not giving much respect to the above books and throws some

where in the corner and not utilizing the knowledge about the guru. They will

get papa/sin. If you give this book as a " dana " to the person who is not giving

respect may acquire the sin and even you have to share that sin.

So please be careful while distrubuting these books to some one .

While doing this kind of sevas. Especially you have to take permission of

Dattatreya(Sri Sai Natha). So please do not forget to do parayana before

starting this work.

We wish you to have Dattatreya(Sri Sai Natha)s blessings in this holy seva.

Dear Hemaji, I fully endorse whatever you have mentioned in your mail. One has to be careful, very very careful when one decides to donate these Holy Pothis,. They are not reading material per se for passing time or superfluous reading. You have very rightly pointed out the implications involved ........
